Brytni Sarpy — A Biography
Brytni Sarpy grew up in Sherman Oaks, California. She became interested in acting after landing the role of a witch in a high school play. Later, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of California in Santa Barbara.
Sarpy quickly mastered both her comic timing and dramatic range. In 2010, she signed on to the theatrical ensemble of You Again, alongside Kristen Bell, Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Betty White. The young actress auditioned 3 times for ABC’s General Hospital before snagging the role of Valerie Spencer in 2014, a role she played on and off through 2019.
Other television roles followed such as My Crazy Ex, and New Girl, sprinkling in films such as Truth or Dare, A Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love on Election Night, Karma, and The Wrong Husband. Sarpy has appeared in numerous national commercials and print for such companies as Lays, Nike, Yahoo!, New Balance, and more.
In 2019, Sarpy was cast as the mysterious Elena Dawson on The Young and the Restless. The character appeared on the scene when Devon Hamilton was going through a lot of tragedy. It wasn’t long before Elena hooked up with Devon and the fans have been shipping them ever since.

Through 2020 – 2021, Sarpy was doing double duty on Y&R and portraying Rianna on The Haves and the Have Nots.
Brytni Sarpy balances her work in Hollywood by setting an example for youth and a lot of volunteer work for such organizations as Art of Elysium, The Do Good Bus, Habitat for Humanity, Operation Blankets of Love, and Beautify Earth.
