Nate Hastings doesn’t seem to know what he wants from his The Young and the Restless life. He wants Elena…he wants Victoria…he wants love…he wants power…he wants…oh, who knows? Nate may not. But we do! The fans voted on who they want to see him with for the long term.

Elena (Brytni Sarpy) can do better than Nate (Sean Dominic). Victoria (Amelia Heinle) can do better than Nate. And Nate can…pick somebody else, according to 5% of the audience. Neither of these relationships has any long-term potential. Go looking for one that might. Which you won’t screw up. That’s important, too.

Then again, 6% of The Young and the Restless fans see Victoria as the smarter choice. For one thing, she’s the one with all the job opportunities. And those seem really important to Nate now. For another thing, she’s the one who pursued him. Which means Nate is the one with the power. That also seems very important to him right now.

Elena is so nice, 25% sigh. She believes what Nate says. She goes where Nate goes. Nate is never going to find another woman who trusts him as much. And if he intends to keep cheating on her, that’s a good trait to cultivate. He can pull the wool over Elena’s eyes over and over again. Victoria would never be so trusting.

Nate Hastings: Suffering is Good for the Soul
Nate is a cheater who should be dumped by both women, 64% pronounce. He should be alone and he should be unloved and he should suffer. Sure, he used to be a heroic doctor and, long before that, a sweet little boy who we watched grow up onscreen.
But those days are gone. He’s just a jerk now. And not only does the jerk not deserve a woman who loves and believes in him, he doesn’t even deserve the woman who will chew him up and spit him out. Because he shouldn’t spend a minute thinking he deserves love.
