Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Soap Opera Casting for the week of February 13, 2023
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas.
Days of our Lives
Three major stars are exiting Days of our Lives. Lindsay Arnold, who debuted as Allie Horton on the soap opera in 2019, has completed her run as Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) daughter. Look for Allie to make a life-changing decision this week.
Also bidding adieu to the daytime drama will be Chandler Massey. Will Horton prepares to leave Salem, again, on Thursday, February 16, and head to New Zealand.
Zach Tinker, who plays Sonny Kiriakis, will be joining his TV husband on the exit front. Tinker, who debuted on Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem, replaced Freddie Smith on the main soap in 2022.
Cary Christopher and Autumn Gendron pop in as Chad DiMera’s (portrayed by actor Billy Flynn) adorable children Thomas and Charlotte. The two tykes will share scenes with Flynn and Abigail Klein’s Stephanie Johnson on Tuesday, February 14.
Blake Berris was briefly back on the Salem scene as Nick Fallon. The actor, who was killed off on the soap opera in 2014 and made a brief DAYS appearance in 2021, was featured in afterlife scenes involving Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), and Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall).
General Hospital
Adam Huss completed his latest run as General Hospital’s Nikolas Cassadine. The character was clobbered over the head by Maura West’s Ava Jerome Cassadine and left for dead. But is he…really?
There’s an adorable new baby girl on the Port Charles scene. Twin boys, Nathan and Owen Ford, are sharing the role of Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) daughter, Amelia Grace Corinthos.
Vernee Watson pops back in as Stella Henry this week. Look for the character to receive a surprise visit from someone on Tuesday, February 14.
Brook Kerr’s TV family has expanded. Last week, Gavin Houston and Rico Ross debuted on the soap opera as Portia Robinson’s brother, Zeke Robinson, and father, Dr. Sterling Robinson, respectively. The two actors will reappear this week, as Portia’s wedding to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) gets underway.
Houston is no stranger to GH. He previously played Sly Thomas back in 2010. The actor also portrayed Jeffrey Hunter on The Haves and the Have Nots from 2013 to 2021, and appeared on Roswell, New Mexico as Theodore.
Ross’s credits include S.W.A.T. and P-Valley. In 2000, he played Reggie Morris on Days of our Lives.
The Young and the Restless
After 13 years away from The Young and the Restless, Vail Bloom has reprised her role as Heather Stevens, Paul Williams’s (Doug Davidson) daughter and Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) significant other. Bloom originally played Heather on the soap opera from 2007 to 2010. The character was later portrayed by Eden Riegel (2010 to 2011) and Jennifer Landon (2012).
Lily Brooks O’Briant has debuted as Lucy Romalotti, Daniel’s daughter. The young actress previously held down the lead role of Ella McCaffrey in the series Life by Ella.
Eileen Davidson is back as Ashley Abbott this week. Look for the character to return to Genoa City from Paris and share her first scenes with Susan Walters Diane.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Henry Joseph Samiri gets more screen time as Douglas Forrester, while Jill Remez makes two more appearances as Judge Gomez on The Bold and the Beautiful. The legal official and the child actor will be featured in scenes on Monday, February 13, and Tuesday, February 14, surrounding the custody battle for Douglas.
Naomi Matsuda makes another appearance as Dr. Li Finnegan, Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Taylor Novlan) mother. She’s slated to air on Monday, February 13, and Tuesday, February 14.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
