Soap Opera News: GH Good News, Bad News

After a long break, General Hospital will be back with new episodes in a matter of days. Soap Hub has the details and the soap’s return date.

In other GH news, the show’s annual fan club weekend, which was pushed from summer to fall 2020, has now been officially canceled. But there are plans for the event to return in 2021.

Kristian Speaks

Kristian Alfonso opened up about her decision to leave Days of Our Lives, after a 37-year run as Hope Williams Brady. Will she continue in the business or move on in another direction?

Another DAYS Departure

Greg Vaughan revealed that he’s exiting Days, too, during the podcast LUCKY in Low Country. The show’s hosted by GH’s Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli).

Quarantine Life

Lisa LoCicero (Olivia, GH) has amped up the creativity at her home during the pandemic. The actress chronicled an arts and crafts day she shared with her daughter, Verity, on Twitter.

Josh Swickard (Chase) reported that he was eager to get back to work on the GH set. The actor also reflected on the many quality ways he spent his time during the pandemic.

Robert Adamson (Noah, YR) turned filmmaker during a recent trip to Utah. He made a short about his nephew’s life at home during the coronavirus, which you can watch here.

Former Stars, New Projects

Eva Longoria (ex-Isabella, YR) is developing a new serial drama for ABC and taking on another new venture. She’s part of a prestigious group of ladies bringing a pro soccer women’s team to Los Angeles.

Melissa Ordway (Abby, Y&R) is set to star in a new Lifetime movie, Stalked by My Husband’s Ex, debuting Saturday, July 25 at 8pm. Meanwhile, YR fans can catch Michael Damian (ex-Danny) in the Netflix film, High Strung Free Dance.

Pierson Fodé (ex-Thomas, BB) has landed a new gig, too, starring in the film, The Man from Toronto. Meanwhile, Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, GH; ex-Nick, BB) is headed to Canada to begin work on Season 8 of When Calls the Heart.

Loren Lott (ex-Ana, YR) spoke out about life, love, and her hope for people. Her words are powerful and filled with beautiful sentiment.
