Zende Forrester is heading back to The Bold and the Beautiful, and actor Delon de Metz will be tackling the role. When last seen in 2017, the character, then played by Rome Flynn, was moving to Paris with his bride, Nicole, to start a new life together.
Introducing Delon de Metz
It’s the second leading man casting The Bold and the Beautiful has announced since returning to production. The other is Tanner Novlan, who’ll be portraying Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan, a potential love interest for Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Curious about the daytime newcomer who’ll be taking over as Zende? Here are seven things to know about Delon de Metz.
1. The native New Yorker was born in Manhattan and studied at Horace Mann School in the Bronx, New York.
2. When it came time for college, he attended Harvard University and graduated with an honors degree in Economics.

3. He has done some editorial work, working for IVY magazine. He’s interviewed and written stories on actress Alyson Stoner and YouTube star and social influencer Amber Whittington.
4. Delon de Metz has studied with renowned acting coach Susan Batson, which puts him in some very good company. Batson has also worked with Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Connelly, and others.
5. The actor got to work with Academy Award winner Alan Arkin in 2018 when he booked a guest spot on The Kominsky Method. He posted a photo of himself with the actor on Instagram, noting that if you get the opportunity to share a scene with such a talent “ask him about acting in between takes, or how film has changed over the years, or something like that. Don’t spend the day discussing British tailoring.”
6. Being a proud New Yorker, de Metz was thrilled to see himself in the Time Square video feed twice in late 2018/early 2019, thanks to a Netflix project and a strong black lead role. He added that it made his “heart swell a little bit bigger.”
7. Delon de Metz booked a key recurring role opposite James Wolk in the third season of CBS summer drama series Zoo. He played Sam, Clem’s boyfriend. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
