The Young and the Restless News: Michael Damian Has A Film Trending On Netflix

If you don’t have Netflix yet, The Young and the Restless star Michael Damian thinks it’d be a great idea if you get it! That way, you can watch his film, which is doing well on the streaming service.

Michael Damian: Dance Movie

“Hey friends,” posted Damian, who played rock star Danny Romalotti for many years on the CBS soap, “my romance/dance film is trending on @netflix. Seen High Strung Free Dance on Netflix yet? @HighStrungMovie @JulietDoherty @HarryJarv @thomasadoherty @jordi_mckenna.”

High Strung Free Dance tells the story of a “choreographer who casts a contemporary dancer and a gifted pianist for a highly anticipated Broadway show as internal drama tries to steal the spotlight.”

The film stars Juliet Doherty (Strange Girl in a Strange Land), Thomas Doherty (The Lodge), Harry Jarvis (The Dead Girls Detective Agency), and Jane Seymour (Live and Let Die; The Kominsky Method). (Note: Juliet and Thomas’s identical surnames are coincidental.)

Damian’s followers on social media have nothing but raves for the film. “I watched your movie on Netflix last night and it’s so good!” enthused @LisaACarlile1. “Worth watching again.”

Damian directed the film and co-wrote it with his wife Janeen. As YR fans recall, Damian brought singer Danny Romalotti to Genoa City in 1980. His leading ladies included Patty (Andrea Evans), Lauren (Tracey Bregman), and Traci (Beth Maitland) before being paired with true love Cricket (Lauralee Bell), who today goes by Christine.

The couple’s marriage fell apart after Danny was drugged and duped by Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) while he was performing on Broadway in New York. Danny was led to believe that he’d fathered Phyllis’s son Daniel (Michael Graziadei) but it turned out Phyllis had lied.

Chris had moved on to a relationship with Paul, preventing a long-term reunion between her and Danny. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
