Biography

A born and bred Pasadena, California girl, Evans was voted “Best Actress” by her fourth grade classmates. She began working at Taco Bell as a teen to pay for acting classes.

Upon graduating from Huntington Beach High School, Evans spent five months in Europe. She then returned to The States and joined the esteemed South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, California. After landing her first play, she began working steadily.

In 1984, Evans was cast on the primetime soap Rituals. It was a precursor to a strong daytime career, starting with the role of Kayla Brady on Days of our Lives in 1986. Gigs on General Hospital (as Katherine Bell) and As the World Turns (as Sierra Montgomery) followed.

The entrepreneurial Evans turned her love for baking into her own business in 2005, Mary Beth’s Apple Pie Company in 2005. In her free time, she also writes and blogs at Plank: A Platform for Inspired Living.

Evans currently resides in Southern Los Angeles with her family.
