Here are the latest casting news for the week of July 6-10 from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.

The Young and the Restless Casting

A missing family member is heading back to Y&R. Eileen Davidson returns to Genoa City as Ashley Abbott on Friday, July 10, when she pays a visit to her TV brother, Jack (Peter Bergman).

Stacy Haiduk continues her run as the diabolical Patty Williams. She airs in powerful scenes opposite Susan Walters’ Diane and Bergman’s Jack on Tuesday, July 7, and on Wednesday, July 8. 

Jere Burns is back as Dr. Laurence Markham. Patty’s partner in crime continues his masquerade as Diane’s therapist and captor. Did you know that Burns and Walters have a history of working together?

Roger Howarth gets more airtime as Matt Clark. Michelle Stafford’s Phyllis helps the character start a new chapter on Monday, July 6.

Lauralee Bell is back as Christine Blair Rimalotti. Christian LeBlanc’s Michael pleads his case to the town’s district attorney on Wednesday, July 8.

Lauren Koslow continues to fill in for daytime vet Jess Walton this week. Jason Thompson’s Billy questions his mother’s intentions on Wednesday, July 8, while Jill pushes her son to resolve their issues on Thursday, July 9. 

General Hospital Casting

Nancy Lee Grahn has upped her status with GH. During an appearance on the podcast, Soapy, the veteran star revealed that she just inked a new three-year pact with the show that will keep her onscreen as Alexis Davis through 2029. Check out everything she had to say on the podcast. Grahn has portrayed the fiery Port Charles attorney since 1996.

John Oliver, host of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, is back for another appearance as Z. He debuted as the head of the WSB last week. He wraps up his three-episode guest stint on Monday, July 6, in powerful scenes opposite Laura Wright’s Carly.

Asher Antonyzyn returns as Danny Morgan on Monday, July 6 and Tuesday, July 7, when his character makes a revelation. The actor recently spoke out about his deep appreciation for the show’s devoted fans.

Finn Carr gets more screen time as Rocco Falconeri. He has powerful scenes opposite Antonzyn’s Danny on Monday, July 6.

Bluesy Burke is back as Charlotte Cassadine. She has an explosive confrontation with her TV mother, Alexa Havins’ Lulu, on Monday, July 6. Here’s everything you need to know about the daytime newcomer. 

Nazneen Contractor gets more screen time as Justine Turner. Look for the Port Charles DA to be featured as the fallout from Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) reign of terror plays out.

On the exit front, Andrew Hawkes has wrapped up his six-month run as double agent Ross Cullum. The dastardly character met his demise when he was shot dead on July 2. 

Days of our Lives Casting

On the heels of his guest spot on General Hospital, talk show host John Oliver of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver has booked another soap gig. He’s set to appear in a short story arc in Salem later this summer. The episodes are slated to air in August.  Oliver spoke out about realizing his daytime dream on a recent episode of his show.

Judi Evans pops back in as Bonnie Kiriakis. The character offers advice to her stepson, Robert Scott Wilson’s Alex, on Wednesday, July 8.

Nikki Crawford gets more airtime as the resurrected Lexie Carver. (Here are some interesting facts about the daytime newcomer.) The character lashes out at Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ on Tuesday, July 7 and also shares scenes with her TV son, Tyler Joseph Andrews’ Theo, this week.
