A missing veteran star returns, and moms and teens are back on soap operas.

Here is the latest comings and goings casting news for the week of August 31-September 4 from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates

Days of our Lives Casting

Suzanne Rogers is finally back on screen as Maggie Horton Kiriakis at DAYS. She begins airing on Monday, August 31. Rogers, who had been dealing with a health issue, had been off the canvas for months. 

Brandon Butler debuts as Mason Whitfield. Look for Holly (Ashley Puzemis) to introduce Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) to her new classmate on Tuesday, September 1. It’s Butler’s second stint on DAYS. He briefly played Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope’s(Kristian Alfonso) late son, Zack Brady, in 2025, when his spirit urged a critically ill Bo to fight for his life.

Brytni Sarpy has been cast in an undisclosed new role. The daytime alumna previously played Valerie Spencer on GH (2015-2019) and Dr. Elena Dawson on Y&R (2019-2024).DAYS announced the news on its official Instagram account, but declined to reveal her first airdate or character name.   

Sal Stowers is back as Lani Price Grant. The character reassures Abe (James Reynolds) that he’ll always be family on Tuesday, September 1. Stowers opened up about her return to the soap earlier this year.

Angelica Nero returns as Victoria Kiriakis. She interacts with her TV parents, Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), on Wednesday, September 2, when Xander discovers his daughter’s hidden talent.

Pippa Blaylock gets more airtime as Charlotte DiMera. The little girl shares scenes with her TV father, Conner Floyd’s Chad, and others during a daddy-daughter dance on Thursday, September 3.

Lorelei Olivia Mote resurfaces as Rachel Black. The character receives a special gift from her mother, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), on Thursday, September 3.

Maggie Carney is back as Rita. EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) assistant doesn’t exactly follow orders on Friday, September 4.

The Bold and the Beautiful Casting

Kelly Sullivan gets more screen time as B&B’s Darcy Dylan when the character arrives in Los Angeles. She shares scenes with her TV daughter, Sydney Bullock’s Dylan, and Sean Kanan’s Deacon on Wednesday, September 2. She also airs on Thursday, September 3, and  Friday, September 4. Sullivan opened up about her fears heading into the new soap.

Naomi Matsuda resurfaces as Dr. Li Finnegan. Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) mom airs on Monday, August 31, and Tuesday, September 1. Check out Matsuda’s tour of the B&B studio complex.

Shannon McMullen pops in as Willow, a Forrester Creations model. She airs on Wednesday, September 2, and Thursday, September 3.

Lonnie Henderson returns as Lonnie. The Forrester Creations stylist appears on Thursday, September 3.

Nicole Bruner appears as Tina, a Forrester employee. She airs on Tuesday, September 1.

Sadie Jeanne clocks in as a Forrester intern. She appears on Thursday, September 3.

Bella Drew and Ada Kirokiro turn up as patrons at the Bikini Bar. The duo airs on Wednesday, September 2, and Thursday, September 3.

The Young and the Restless Casting

Roger Howarth gets more screen time as Matt Clark on Y&R. The vet appears on Tuesday, September 1. He also airs on Wednesday, September 2, and Thursday, September 3, in scenes with Michelle Stafford’s Phyllis.

Stacy Haiduk is back as Patty Williams. Look for her incarcerated character to receive a visit from Howarth’s Matt on Tuesday, September 1.   

Jade Harlow resurfaces as Marie Kirkland. The drug addict interacts with Joshua Morrow’s Nick and Mark Grossman’s Adam on Thursday, September 3, when Adam pays his brother a visit at rehab. Did you know that Harlow is a three-time Daytime Emmy winner?  

Vivica A. Fox reappears as Dr. Stephanie Simmons. She shares scenes with Sean Dominic’s Nate on Monday, August 31, and airs on Friday, September 4, as Nate prepares for his surgery. Fox spoke out about returning Stephanie after decades away from the soap.

General Hospital Casting

The teen set is on the front burner this week on GH. Finn Carr is back as Rocco Falconeri. Look for the character to learn a secret on Monday, August 31.

Kayden Brenna Tokarski returns as Scout Cain. She interacts with Carr’s Rocco on Monday, August 31.

Bluesy Burke gets more screentime as Charlotte Cassadine. Something alarms the teenager on Tuesday, September 1, but she’s quickly reassured by someone on Wednesday, September 2. Here’s everything you need to know about the talented actress.

Asher Antonyzyn, who portrays Danny Morgan, shares scenes with Burke’s Charlotte on Wednesday, September 2. He also appears on Thursday, September 3, when Danny comes clean to his dad, Jason (Steve Burton). Antonyzyn and co-star Finn Carr recently teased big trouble between their GH characters

Geoffrey Rivas is playing Alvarez, the warden at Pentonville. The role is recurring and will be featured regularly now that Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) are inmates at the prison. 

Nazneen Contractor resurfaces as Justine Turner. Look for Sonny (Maurice Benard) to pitch an idea to the Port Charles DA on Thursday, September 3.  

Wes Ramsey continues his stint as the late Peter August. The dastardly character’s ghost keeps haunting Finola Hughes’ Anna.
