The Y&R spoilers for Monday, July 25, 2022, continue with Jack Abbott growing close to Diane Jenkins, even as Nikki Newman and Phyllis Summers ramp up their efforts to protect their mutual ex…for his own good. Meanwhile, Nicholas Newman insists on protecting his sister from her ex, which could backfire on him mightily.
First, Diane (Susan Walters) called Michael Baldwin (Christina Le Blanc) to call the cops on Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) visit with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), then she went teary-eyed to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), wondering if he blamed her for his little boy being so traumatized by a visit with his original dad. No, no, of course not, Kyle assured, his mommy was wonderful.

Now, Diane takes her act on the road and goes batting her big, beautiful eyes at Jack (Peter Bergman), and he falls for it just like Kyle did, reassuring his ex that she is not the most horrible person who ever lived. No matter what the rest of Genoa City says.
Meanwhile, over in the rest of Genoa City, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) agree that Jack is too innocent and naive to handle a serpent like Diane. It’s up to them to protect the man they both used, dumped, and mistreated — more than once — by proving that Diane is the one he should be staying away from.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) urged Nick (Joshua Morrow) to look out for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). So he hightails it over to his sister’s. Where Ashland is not in the best of moods, and Nick just setting him off further isn’t destined to end well for him…or Victoria. Then again, does Nick even know how to do subtle?
