Soap Stars Show Their Support
The daytime community — among them GH’s Donnell Turner (Curtis) and DAYS’ Lamon Archey (Eli) — showed their support of the Black Lives Matter movement, after the murder of George Floyd, joining protests and speaking out.
Loren Lott (ex-Ana, YR) chronicled her experience on Instagram. And it included a video of her and a friend running from what appeared to be rubber bullets shot by police officers.
Eden McCoy (Josslyn, GH) headed to downtown LA, where she heard “powerful, sad, but determined voices” speak out of the subject during a protest, and Tristan Lake Lebeau (ex-Reed, YR) expressed his very strong thoughts on the matter on social media.
Emmy Talk
A couple of lead actor Daytime Emmy nominees chatted with Soap Hub. Steve Burton discussed the honor and his thoughts about co-star Maurice Benard (Sonny) not submitting his name for consideration, while Thaao Penghlis (Tony, DAYS) shared his thoughts on the subject as well as some stories about his stint as Victor Cassadine on GH.
DAYS’ Linsey Godfrey has an idea for the Daytime Emmys, once the soap community can celebrate in person again. Plus, the actress spoke out about the future of Xander and Sarah, post-baby switch debacle.
