Soap fans have not only seen Ronn Moss recently in classic re-airings of The Bold and the Beautiful, the soap on which he played Ridge for 25 years, but also on another daytime serial. Moss popped up in a re-airing of General Hospital in which he appeared as himself. Now, he’s taking on another role.
A Movie For Ronn Moss
“I’m looking forward to returning soon to my seconda Casa in Puglia where I will be working on the pre-production of a wonderful romantic comedy,” Moss shared on Instagram. The actor/musician adds that the project is set to be filmed in September and is titled Surprise Trip.
“I feel we all need to love and laugh more, especially right now and am anxious to film this movie,” Moss said.

Ronn Moss has a history of shooting overseas projects. In fact, back in 1992, he took a brief break from BB to film the miniseries The Baron (AKA Il Barone). In fact, BB was shooting Ridge and Taylor’s (Hunter Tylo) marriage ceremony in Malibu when riots were taking place back in Los Angeles following the verdict in the Rodney King case.
It would have been a logistical nightmare for The Bold and the Beautiful to have to reschedule the marital extravaganza. The show carried on and completed the scenes. Then, Moss headed off to Europe. During his absence from BB, Lane Davies (ex-Mason, Santa Barbara; ex-Cameron, GH) stepped in to play that part. Today, of course, Daytime Emmy-nominee and fan-favorite Thorsten Kaye brings Ridge to life.
Moss’s former leading lady Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Daytime Emmy nominee this year, wished her pal all the best on his new venture. “Congrats and good luck Ronn!” Lang posted. “Yes, love and laugh!” Soap Hub will keep you updated on Moss’s film and if it can be seen stateside.
