Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas.
A legendary villainess is back at Days of our Lives this week. Well, sort of. While Louise Sorel won’t actually be seen on the soap opera, she will be heard as Vivian Alamain, when she places a phone call to her son, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), from prison. Sorel, who originated the role back in 1992, has played Vivian on and off over the years. The character was last seen in 2021, at which point she was portrayed by Linda Dano.
Matthew Ashford resurfaces as Jack Deveraux on Tuesday, January 31. He’ll share scenes with Emily O’Brien’s Gwen Rizczech when he gives his daughter an ultimatum.
Richard Wharton is back on the scene as Dr. Wilhelm Rolf on Tuesday, January 31. The calculating scientist will interact with Camila Banus’s Gabi Hernandez and Brandon Barash’s Stefan.
Chandler Massey completed his latest run as Will Horton. The character is once again leaving Salem for a work assignment.
Marcus Coloma, who debuted as the Cassadine prince, Nikolas, in 2019, has wrapped up his run on General Hospital. The character, however, won’t be exiting Port Charles quite yet. Expect to see a recast in the role this week. Coloma was unable to film his final episodes on the soap opera after being exposed to Covid. Adam Huss has subbed for Coloma in the past, so there’s a chance he could be back.
Vernee Watson returns to Port Charles as Stella Henry. She’ll play heavily in the ongoing storyline involving Brook Kerr’s Portia Robinson and Tabyana Ali’s Trina Robinson.
That was Maria Tornberg portraying Renee Laveque, the agent who double-crossed Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). The actress previously played Agent Reznik on Days of our Lives.
Noelle Messier has been playing Ramona, the inmate who attacked Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) at the low-security prison housing the pair and Heather Webber (Alley Mills).
Camelia Somers, the real-life granddaughter of actress Suzanne Somers, is headed back to The Bold and the Beautiful. She’ll be playing Charlotte, an employee at Forrester Creations. Somers first aired on the soap opera as an intern at the company back in 2015 and made her last appearance in May 2020. She airs on Monday, January 30.
It was one and done for a pair of actors who returned to The Young and the Restless for the special episode celebrating Tracey Bregman’s 40-year run as Lauren Fenmore Baldwin. Zach Tinker completed his return as Fenmore Baldwin, Lauren and Michael’s (Christian LeBlanc) son, while Judith Chapman wrapped her appearance as Gloria Bardwell, Michael’s mother. The door, of course, remains open for the duo to resurface at a later date.
