A new Summer Newman Abbott will be making a spring debut in Genoa City. Allison Lanier is taking over the pivotal role of Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) wife, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) daughter.
The actress replaces Hunter King, who chose to exit the soap, when her contract expired. Lanier’s credits include the role of Annabelle on the Amazon series Red Oaks.
Kellen Enriquez reprises his role as Harrison Abbott, this week. The tyke will return home with his TV dad, Michael Mealor, who portrays Kyle Abbott.
The Young and the Restless History
The Young and the Restless made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
