Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas.
In a surprise move, General Hospital has recast a key role. Lexi Ainsworth is out as Kristina Corinthos-Davis and Days of our Lives alumna Kate Mansi (ex-Abigail Deveraux DiMera) is replacing her.
Ainsworth originally played Alexis Davis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sonny Corintho’s (Maurice Benard) daughter from 2009 to 2011. Lindsey Morgan took over the part from 2012 to 2013. However, Ainsworth returned to the soap in 2015, where she’s appeared on and off ever since. Mansi is set to make her Port Charles debut later this month.
Réal Andrews is back on the scene as Marcus Taggert this week. He’ll share scenes with Brook Kerr’s Portia Robinson as the pair console one another over their missing daughter, Tabyana Ali (Trina Robinson).
Constance Towers’s surprise visit as Helena Cassadine has wrapped. The diabolical character, who died in 2015, last appeared on the soap in 2022.
Shemar Moore is revisiting his daytime roots. The actor is back for a quick visit as Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless on Monday, May 8. The S.W.A.T. star originally portrayed Malcolm from 1994 to 2002 and from 2004-2005 and appeared again in 2014 and then, briefly in 2019 to pay tribute to the late Kristoff St. John, who played his brother, Neil Winters.
A major leading lady has left Days of our Lives. Camila Banus filmed her final scenes as Gabi Hernandez on Friday, April 28, however, she’ll continue to air for several months. The actress, who opted not to renew her contract with the soap, began playing Gabi in 2010.
Peter Porte reprises his role as Dimitri Von Leuschner, the character he originally portrayed on Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem in 2021. He’ll debut on the main soap on Monday, May 8 in scenes with Lauren Koslow’s Kate. Porte previously played Ricky Williams on The Young and the Restless from 2011 to 2012.
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star Josh Flagg turns up as Yuri on Friday, May 12. He’ll interact with Abigail Klein and Billy Flynn when Abigail and Chad meet with the character about a business matter.
On the exit front, Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso have wrapped up their latest visit as Bo and Hope Brady. The door remains open for the Salem supercouple to return at a later date.
Vivian Huang and Quinn Knox turn up as San Francisco buyers on The Bold and the Beautiful on Friday, May 12. The pair will do business with Hope for the Future’s designing duo, Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Ryan Stroud has been cast as the latest Forrester pilot. He’ll recur for a few episodes beginning Thursday, May 1.
