The Y&R spoilers for Friday, September 2, 2022, feature everyone asking questions, as Victor Newman reminds his son that Victor knows what’s best for other people better than they do themselves, Jack Abbott has a similar message for his own son, and Nikki Newman and Phyllis Summers think they’ve finally got Diane Jenkins right where they’ve always wanted her — even if she begs to differ.
Victor (Eric Braeden) got Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to agree he did the right thing by having his security stuff Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) body in a car and sending it careening to the bottom of a ravine.

He got Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) to brand the whole thing an accident and quit investigating it as a case of possible foul play. Now all Victor needs is for Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) to agree his dad was right to cover up Nick’s murder of Ashland — for his own good. The fact that he’s reluctant to do so is obviously a lapse in judgment on Nick’s part.
Jack (Peter Bergman) was not sure if he did the right thing in allowing presumed dead Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) into son Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) life. Especially now that Kyle has hired both Diane and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to work for him and Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier). So Jack has a warning for his boy. And maybe for himself, as well.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) figure they’re finally in the catbird’s seat now that Diane has fallen into their trap and spilled her guts to reporter Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales). But why exactly do they assume the reporter is on their side…instead of on the side of simply getting the best story she can out of…whoever?
