Diane Jenkins is so eager to be accepted back into The Young and the Restless society that when she saw Ashland Locke trying to steal a little time with his son, she promptly texted Michael Baldwin, who promptly called the cops, who promptly arrested Ashland for breaking his restraining order against seeing Harrison Locke.

She then went all teary-eyed, asking Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) if she’d done the right thing. But who cares what he thinks? The only thing that matters here is what you all think:

A winning 53% of the audience don’t understand why, if Harrison (Kellen Enriquez) was allegedly her top priority, she didn’t just tell Ashland (Robert Newman) to leave? Harrison would have been spared whatever trauma it is that seeing his father caused, and Diane (Susan Walters) wouldn’t have needed to apologize to Kyle. But we suspect she’s playing the long game here.

Ashland was the one in the wrong, 17% of viewers correct. He knows he’s not supposed to see Harrison, but he ignored the restraining order. Poor, shy, retiring, meek Diane had no choice but to text Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc). She needed police protection!

Put Yourself First In Genoa City
A slightly smaller 16% are cheering Diane on. Ashland and Harrison are just a means to an end. Diane wants to restore her reputation, and what better way to do it than to turn in the man who both Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) hate? She’s practically a heroine now!
About Young and the Restless Face
Didn’t Diane JUST tell Michael she would do no such thing when he suggested she fink out Ashland, 14% wonder? Whatever happened to principles? More importantly, the Abbotts and Newmans hate her as much as they hate Ashland. Diane would be much better off making an ally of Ashland for when she’s a pariah again.
