For years, all Melinda Trask did on Days of our Lives was show up to accuse the wrong culprit of committing a crime, then eat humiliating crow when a civilian showed her up by finding the correct criminal. For a brief while, we learned more about her past via her secret daughter, Haley Chen.
Days of our Lives Polling
But Haley (Thia Megia) is dead and forgotten — as indicated by her killer, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) — strutting down the streets of Salem, free as a bird. And Melinda (Tina Huang) is back to her old tricks. Is it time to cut short her reign of legal terror?
DAYS Failure To Thrive
Melinda should be removed from her position not because she uses it to settle personal grudges but because she’s just so gosh darn bad at it, 58% of the audience feels obliged to point out. She has a phenomenal knack for prosecuting the wrong person. And that’s not exactly a great quality in a District Attorney.
Days of our Lives Every Rose Has Its Thorn
At least Melinda calls out the criminals, 34% of you point out. Everyone else shrugs and excuses bad deeds. Melinda actually tries to see that some justice gets done. And is she really that wrong for being angry at the woman who murdered her daughter? Sure, it’s a personal vendetta, but not an unreasonable one. We kind of love how she gets a kick out of getting the best out of self-righteous Salem.
Make a Run For It
Abe Carver (James Reynolds) can’t run for governor unopposed, 8% propose. That would be boring. Melinda will make the perfect antagonist for him. If it’s two Salem civil servants going head to head in a general election, we might even find out which parties they respectively represent. And what state Salem is actually located in. Plus, who knows, sparks may end up flying of the romantic variety, as well.
