The Young and the Restless recaps for August 21 – August 25, 2023, feature cause for concern, cause for celebration, cause for serious groans, and so much more.
Heather (Vail Bloom) is visibly distressed to see Lily (Christel Khalil) and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) growing ever closer. Daniel is heartened when Heather announces that she and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will be staying in Genoa City for the foreseeable future…. Chance (Conner Floyd) seriously mulls a promotion…. Despite his initial, vehement protests, Adam (Mark Grossman) eventually agrees to consider Connor’s (Judah Mackey) wish to attend a new school far and away from GC.
Nate (Sean Dominic) warns Audra (Zuleyka Silver) against relying on him in the future, then endeavors to get back in Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) good graces…. Sally (Courtney Hope) informs Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) that she was right to be wary of Victor’s (Eric Braeden) job offer and encourages her to partner back up with Chelsea…. Adam and Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) blast Victor for his treatment of Sally…. Sharon sides with Adam with his suggestion of preemptively striking out against Victor.
Aria’s failure to respond to loud cracks of thunder perturbs Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks)…. Sharon offers Esther (Kate Linder) a job managing Crimson Lights…. Adam re-extends his job offer to Sally…. Summer (Allison Lanier) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) agree to divorce…. Nicholas and Sally give consideration to beginning a family of their own.
Victor announces to Sharon, Nicholas, and Adam that he intends to merge SNA Media and Newman Media…. Adam attempts to interest Billy in potential blackmail material but his rival wouldn’t bite…. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) starts to doubt putting her feud with Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) in the rearview.
Esther’s booming voice seemingly spooks Aria and puts Mariah and Tessa’s fears to rest…. Sharon and Nicholas balk at Adam’s overt ambition…. Audra and Nate rather impress Victor with their fighting spirit.
