When it comes to stirring up trouble and sultry drama, nobody does it better than Audra Charles on The Young and the Restless. Actress Zuleyka Silver has quietly yet deliberately turned her into one of Genoa City’s most tantalizing characters.
Zuleyka Silver: Audra Is More Than A Vamp
What’s most appealing about Audra is she isn’t strictly a vamp. Sure, she’s a sexpot, who seduces men (Kyle [Michael Mealor]), breaks a few hearts (Noah [Rory Gibson]), and sleeps with some power players (Tucker [Trevor St. John]), and she uses all that to her advantage. But she’s also so much more than that. She’s sassy. She’s got spunk. And she’s got a calculating brain that helps her create well-devised game plans to get whatever she wants.
Young and the Restless: Stirs the Pot
Silver’s also developed Audra into a consummate troublemaker. Who can forget how she worked Elena (Brytni Sarpi), planting seeds of doubt about her boyfriend, Nate (Sean Dominic), and then set her up to find him in bed with Victoria (Amelia Heinle)? She seemed to relish sabotaging their relationship.
Then she approached Summer (Allison Lanier) about her problems regarding Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) while she was sleeping with Summer’s estranged husband, Kyle. Audra has no shame or boundaries. Life is all a twisted, fun-filled game to her.
Zuleyka Silver: Smarty Pants
Above all, Audra is a woman with smarts and a lot of attitude. She’s a power player who knows how to work her way up the corporate ladder using her skills like she’s done at Newman Enterprises. She makes her own money and way in the world. She doesn’t really need a man to achieve her goals, not that she won’t use one on occasion. But mostly, they’re just pleasant diversions to keep her company along the way.
