Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Lauren and Jack set aside their differences for friendship while Sharon listened to Chance’s latest plans. Nick accidentally told Victor that Adam and Sally’s baby is a girl, while Sally (Courtney Hope) and Adam freaked out about being parents. Finally, Ashley made a play for Tucker. Now let’s dig deeper into what went down.

Young and the Restless Recap: Chance Chancellor Investigates

At Crimson Lights, Chance (Conner Floyd) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) talked about the case. Neither had an update on where Jeremy was.

On the patio, Jack (Peter Bergman) met with Lauren (Tracey Bregman), and she wasn’t too pleased with Jack keeping Michael so busy. She wished that Jack had gotten Diane a different defense attorney. Lauren suggested they not talk about the whole situation. Instead, Lauren pointed out that she and Jack both needed a friend.

He talked about how hard things were at home, and Lauren cried about how she missed Phyllis. She couldn’t imagine a resolution that would provide peace. Lauren simply couldn’t believe that Phyllis was gone, and she wondered what they’d do without her.

Christine wanted to talk to Lauren, and she admitted she wasn’t happy about Michael taking Diane’s case. Lauren apologized because she knew it couldn’t be easy for Christine either.

Young and the Restless: Chance Chancellor Learns Stark Is Dead

Inside, Jack cornered Chance, asking what they were doing to find Jeremy. Chance wasn’t willing to talk, but Jack insisted Diane was innocent, and Jeremy set her up. Sharon (Sharon Case) interrupted and asked them to tone it down. Christine walked in from the patio, asking Jack to step away. He left with the parting words, “things aren’t always what they seem.”

Later, Sharon told Chance she understood why he’d been rethinking his career. However, Chance said the case had changed his mind because Genoa City had certain people who thought they were above the law. He was sick and tired of being manipulated and second-guessed. Chance said he’d do whatever it took to get the truth.

Jack walked back through the coffee shop to grab his tablet, and Chance got a phone call. Jack eavesdropped and asked if it had anything to do with Diane’s case. “Found Jeremy Stark. He’s dead,” Chance revealed.

Young and the Restless Recap: Ashley Begs Tucker

Tucker (Trevor St. John) packed his bags. He called Victor (Eric Braeden) to let him know the deal was done. Victor let him know he’d transfer the money.

At Society, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) told Abby (Melissa Ordway) all about the situation with Jack and Diane. She couldn’t believe that Jack had invited her to move out, but Abby thought her uncle might be right.

Ashley accused Abby of taking Jack’s side, and she declared she wouldn’t let her brother kick her out of her home. Abby left to check on the kitchen, and Ashley got a text from Tucker asking her to stop by before he left.

Later, she knocked on Tucker’s door, and he let her in. Ashley asked where he was going, and he suggested Sri Lanka or Peru. She accused him of quitting, but Tucker said he was embracing his future away from Genoa City. Before leaving, Tucker repaid Ashley for McCall’s debt.

Ashley called Tucker a coward for leaving, and she declared it unattractive. She said she’d had a pretty good plan for Tucker to mend his relationship with Devon. However, Tucker said he didn’t need to be redeemed by Ashley. She turned to leave, but he stopped her.

Tucker noted that he was defeated and had no place. However, Ashley said he might have a place — with her. He seemed disbelieving of Ashley’s invitation to move in together and accused her of gaming him. Tucker wasn’t interested in being roommates, but Ashley insisted that Tucker try to mend things with Devon and Dominic.

She pulled out all the stops by letting Tucker know that they had unfinished business, and she wasn’t ready for him to leave. Tucker didn’t buy what Ashley was saying, though. She admitted she’d been hasty in saying they couldn’t make things work. He wondered how Jack would handle living under the same room, and Tucker accused Ashley of trying to use him to get back at her brother.

Ashley suggested they think of living together as a grand experiment…just to see if they could make it work. Tucker started coming around to what she proposed. He wanted assurance that Ashley had real feelings for him. She cried and told him she’d been wrong and didn’t want him to leave. After all, now they had a level playing field, but Tucker wanted Ashley to admit that she wanted him as much as he wanted her. Instead, Ashley kissed him.

Y&R Recap: Sally And Adam Make Plans

In her hotel room, Sally gushed over her sonogram photos, and Nick (Joshua Morrow) agreed how amazing it all was. Adam (Mark Grossman) walked in, remarking how incredible it was they were having a baby girl, and Nick glared at his brother.

Adam thought the baby looked like she was sucking her thumb. Nick commented about the appointment, and Sally didn’t even hear him. The baby’s uncle pointed out how lucky the little girl was, and Adam made a snarky comment. Sally agreed that their daughter would have a whole lot of love.

The whole atmosphere for Nick was a bit awkward and soon he got a text from Victor to meet ASAP. Sally encouraged Nick to take care of whatever it was, and he wondered if Adam was leaving, but Adam said Nick should go without him, so he left.

Sally told Adam how much the baby looked like herself, and Adam declared their baby girl a miracle. She said Adam had been amazing navigating the whole thing, and he took her compliment. Even so, Adam wanted to stay in his lane — the daddy lane. He did wonder how he’d handle being a girl dad and saying no to a little girl.

Sally lamented that she knew nothing about kids. She noted that both Connor and Christian were good children, and Adam pointed out that was thanks to Chelsea and Nick, but Sally thought it was also because of Adam. He said he was glad that he didn’t have to worry a little girl would turn out like him.

Sally firmly told Adam to stop talking about how he would screw up their kid, and Adam appreciated Sally’s belief in him. Adam promised to put aside his insecurities for Sally’s and the baby’s sake. Of course, Sally worried their daughter would inherit all her worse traits.

She admitted she was a stubborn terror as a little girl. Sally worried their daughter would hate her, and Adam said she sounded ridiculous. He told her how much fire their baby would have, and he pointed out that they’d be second-guessing themselves for the rest of their lives. Adam promised Sally she wouldn’t be alone with the huge responsibility of raising the child.

Sally said they should include Connor in their baby news, but Adam wasn’t convinced. He wanted to talk to Chelsea first, and Sally agreed. She also said they needed to talk about handling it with Christian. The whole thing was complicated.

Young and the Restless Recap: Victor Holds Court

Abby greeted her dad at Society, and he noted Ashley had left. Nick walked in, and Victor let him know he’d purchased McCall. However, Nick didn’t think it had anything to do with him, but Victor said it did — he wanted his older son to join his younger son at the struggling company. Not surprisingly, Nick wasn’t too interested in that idea.

Victor laid out that Victoria had Nikki to back her up, and Victor wanted Nick there to help Adam right McCall Unlimited. He wanted to know why Nick couldn’t get along with Adam for the sake of family unity if he could get along with him for the sake of Sally and her baby.

Victor told Nick as he got older, he wanted to see his family together. He begged Nick to listen to him where Sally was concerned, and Nick didn’t appreciate his father patronizing him both personally and professionally. He asked Victor to focus on the fact he had a new granddaughter coming, and Victor was surprised to hear the baby was a girl.

Nick said he didn’t intend to share Adam’s news, and Victor thought it was “cozy” that they found out altogether at Sally’s appointment. He begged his dad to take a step back and just fall in love with the little girl.
