This Bold and the Beautiful recap features plenty of questions and no good answers being provided for them.
In this episode, Taylor Hayes feared that her only recourse was to throw herself under the bus. Elsewhere, Sheila Carter sang Bill’s praises and Carter Walton delivered some very shocking news. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Taylor (Krista Allen) was incredulous. How is it that Sheila is a free woman? Why is it that Sheila is a free woman? And what the heck does Bill (Don Diamont) have to do with any of it?!

Even when Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) laid it all out on the table — Bill leveraged the truth about Taylor shooting him to convince Steffy and Finn (Tanner Novlan) not to testify against Sheila — Taylor was still at a loss.
Why would Bill do such a thing? He promised, he crossed his heart that he’d never, ever tell anyone what Taylor did, and now he’s going back on that? And for the likes of Sheila?! No, Taylor just couldn’t wrap her head around it. There had to be something more to it. And there was.
Believe it or not, Bill is in love with Sheila. Like, in “love” love with Sheila. Taylor did not believe it. And even when Steffy and Finn convinced her that it was true, Taylor still couldn’t “believe” believe it.
What’s worse, Taylor realized that her actions put Steffy and Finn in the position of choosing between saving her skin and seeing Sheila punished. Taylor couldn’t and wouldn’t let that stand! Oh no. She intended to march down to the police station and confess all to Deputy Chief Baker or whoever would listen to her.
Perish the thought, replied Steffy. There’s no way she’s letting her mother spend even a day in jail, even if it means Sheila goes there too. “Your future, your freedom, is not worth putting Sheila away.”
Sheila just can’t believe her luck. Here she is, free as a bird, and with Bill of all people acting as her protector. What more could a girl want? Well, in Sheila’s case, a girl could want the forgiveness and the love of her family…but that is asking WAY too much. No way Finn and Steffy are ever going to forgive Sheila.
And though it will pain her greatly, Sheila thinks that she can get over it — as long as she has Bill by her side. Bill, her protector. Bill, her partner for life.
Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) had much to discuss. There was Ridge and his walkabout. And Brooke’s newfound friendship with former rival Taylor. And Katie’s pseudo romance with gorgeous, intelligent, and luscious Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Oh, and of course, Sheila.
Gosh, how happy Katie and Brooke are that Sheila will soon be out of their lives for good. Tossed into a prison cell, and the key thrown away. They’ll soon be sleeping so much better at night.
But wait! Enter Carter with an update — and a very unpleasant one at that. He’s just heard from a good friend who works at the courthouse: Sheila is a free woman!
