Bold and the Beautiful has thrust John McCook into the forefront now that Eric Forrester has enlisted grandson RJ to help him with a new design line. Eric’s told RJ he needs his help because he’s dealing with arthritis.
Eric Forrester: Man of Mystery
What’s truly going on with Eric (John McCook), though? Does he really have arthritis? Why is this design line so important to him? Is he going to reclaim his office at Forrester Creations? Soap Hub asked B&B viewers what they think is happening with the Forrester patriarch.
What’s Occam’s Razor? It’s described as a “philosophical tool for shaving off unlikely explanations.” In other words, the most likely explanation is the truth as to what’s going on these days. So, if Eric says he has arthritis, then that’s what he has. However, only 10% of you agree that this is the case. Hmm.
Eric Forrester: It’s About Respect
Eric let loose with a tirade about how his office was overtaken by pretty much everyone in the company. He noted that even Pam (Alley Mills) and Charlie (Dick Christie) were having lunch in there. Eric’s dissatisfaction is coming from his feeling disrespected, according to 14% of you. There was a time when his office was treated as a sacred space. It’s one thing for Steffy to work from there, but it’s another for other characters to be using it as a post-workout locker room. Enough!
Soap Opera Sleuths
The rest of you, about 76% of voters, believe that there’s something much bigger going on with Eric. He says he has arthritis and he probably does. But he may also have a health issue that is much more than that. Or is it the other direction — is he looking for a way to bring RJ (Joshua Hoffman) into the family business? Is Eric trying to teach Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), who opposes his father in some ways, a lesson? Does Eric want to design another line to help Forrester Creations, maybe because it’s in financial trouble? Anything is possible.
