The General Hospital recaps for May 1 – May 5, 2023, featured further daring dos, vessels going boom, and so much more.
In Greenland, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) reveals himself to Victor’s (Charles Shaughnessy) minions and allows them to take him prisoner. On Laura’s (Genie Francis) orders, Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) KO a pair of guards and while Curtis dons one of the uniforms and makes for The Haunted Star, Drew dons the other, ties Laura up, and marches her to the bunker.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) demands to know what exactly the Pikeman Group is moving through the port and learns that it’s a high-grade explosive. He puts a moratorium on all further shipments until he gets more information on the ambush he walked into the week previous. Dex (Evan Hofer) records the dirty dealings and sends the incriminating footage to Michael (Chad Duell).
Michael grouses to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Carly (Laura Wright) is mistaken belief that Ned (Wally Kurth) was the one who alerted the SEC…Sonny fills Nina (Cynthia Watros) in on the events that transpired during Michael and Willow’s wedding. Nina realizes that her actions may have the unintended consequence of preventing Drew from reaching Liesl (Kathleen Gati), Willow’s only shot at recovering from her leukemia.
Holly (Emma Sams) renders Scott (Kin Shriner) unconscious then joins Anna (Finola Hughes) on an excursion to Greenland.
On Victor’s orders, Liesl injects Valentin with the pathogen…Curtis manages to free Trina (Tabyana Ali) from her confinement…Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) endures a beating from Victor’s goons…Despite Robert’s (Tristan Rogers) best efforts, Scott manages to contact the WSB…Michael fills Willow in on his yearlong scheme to bring Sonny to justice. In response, Willow faints.
Willow is rushed to the hospital. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Tracy (Jane Elliot) remain behind to watch over Wiley and take the opportunity to discuss the role Tracy played in getting Chase (Josh Swickard) a second hearing with the Civilian Review Board…Carly learns that all her accounts have been frozen.
Valentin hallucinates Helena (Constance Towers)…The WSB makes plans to drop a bomb on Greenland…Spencer, Curtis, and Trina rescue baby Ace. Curtis reveals to the pair that Laura, Drew, and Valentin are also on the island…Laura swipes the pathogen Victor intends to release on the unsuspecting populace.
Anna and Holly arrive in Greenland. Anna makes her way to Valentin and Holly corners a fleeing Victor — and just as he’d wrestled control of the pathogen away from Laura…Trina bests Ace’s big bad nanny…Willow makes the decision to remain at the hospital.
Laura manages to advert two catastrophes, first by shutting down a weather machine poised to plunge Port Charles into another Ice Age, and then by informing the authorities in Port Charles that Victor had fled the premises with the pathogen which stayed the WSB’s hands…Spencer knocks Victor unconscious and absconds with the pathogen…The Haunted Star is bombed by the WSB…Holly gets the antidote to Anna and Valentin in the nick of time…Willow implores Nina to let Carly be.
