The younger actors in the teen scene are doing amazing work on General Hospital, especially the trio of Danny, Rocco, and Scout. All three are reeling from the death of Sam, who was Danny and Scout’s biological mom and was as close to a step-mom as she could be for Rocco. Rocco’s real-life alter ego, Finn Carr, took some time recently to talk about what puts him at ease on set and the great dynamic he has with his Port Charles siblings.
Nerves Worked to His Advantage
Carr sat down with Soap Opera Digest and explained that because he has such a great relationship with the actors who play his on-screen siblings, he’s not super nervous when taping a scene. In fact, when Rocco had to speak at Sam’s memorial, the actor fought to push back his nerves. And then he realized that his character would be somewhat nervous in that situation anyway.
He said to himself, “Well, while they’re already there, I might as well try and use them!” He felt that allowing himself to show that he was nervous worked to his advantage and deepened his performance in the funeral scenes. “That worked really well,” he remarked.

He Can Relate to His Scene Partners
With regards to Asher Antonyzyn, who plays Danny, and Cosette Abinante, who plays Scout, Carr had nothing but praise. “He is such a nice guy — just a great person in general,” he gushed about Antonyzyn. Carr found that the two young men could relate because they were close in age and often shared their schedules to determine if they’d be in scenes together on any given day.

With Abinante, their friendship came just as easily. “Cosy is so great, too.” He noted that having a real-world sister who’s the same age as Abinante made friendship easy, and he loves being able to relate to both his TV siblings. Carr is a welcome addition to the ensemble. And we hope to see him grow along with Rocco.
