In the September 14 episode of General Hospital, Britt and Jason had it out over Anna trying to kill her. The conversation took a turn, leading them to express their love for each other and their honesty. One of those things won out.

Key Takeaways

  • Jason made harsh accusations against Britt.
  • Britt asked him an honest question he couldn’t ignore.
  • Their fate was sealed before the conversation.

Jason Picked a Side and It Wasn’t Britt’s

The episode picked up right where it left off last Friday, with Jason (Steve Burton) defending Anna (Finola Hughes) to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) after the latter was nearly killed by the police commissioner. Jason pushed back that Anna was tortured, and that’s what led to her mental state.

Things got heated when Jason accused Britt of knowing Anna was being held hostage. Jason blasted her for doing nothing to help Anna get rescued.

Britt wasted no time, pushing back and reminding Jason that she was a victim of Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Sidwell (Carlo Rotta). She also explained that Anna was moved before she could help her.

One Question Ended It All

Jason wasn’t buying what Britt said. Brit was hurt but covered with her usual rage as she declared she couldn’t believe in him if he didn’t believe in her.

The entire time, Jason remained stoic, even when Britt asked him the one question that sealed their fate. Britt demanded to know if Jason would have helped Anna cover up her murder if she had died.

Jason didn’t respond with a yes or no. Instead, he doubled down on his defense of Anna and his blaming Britt. It became clear through the conversation that the trust they once had was gone, so Britt dumped him.

The Writing Was on the Wall

Despite his running to her rescue, it was crystal clear that night Jason saved Britt that Anna was his main concern. Jason told Britt to run and leave the scene of the crime, which she did because she was in danger.

Alone with Anna, Jason’s instinct was not only to help her but also to protect her. After he made sure Anna was home safely, he went back and destroyed all evidence of a crime at Mount Emerson. It was as if Jason had Britt leave to get her out of his way, just as much to protect her.

The choice to do that was the writing on the wall for JaBritt. Jason was never going to choose Britt over Anna, who is not only his close friend but the mother of someone he dearly loves. GH fans knew then that Jason would back Anna over Britt, crushing the latter again.

It may be the end of the road for JaBritt, but it’s just the beginning of the drama that Britt will cause for Jason. Britt won’t let what Anan did go, and that means she will soon face off with Jason again.
