When Kim first debuted on General Hospital, fans were intrigued. And not only because she was reminding them of a certain Carly. It was a breath of fresh air to have a strong, capable professional woman on the canvas, one who was also a loving single mom, and who wasn’t enthralled with Sonny and his extended crime family.
But then… Turned out Kim (Tamra Braun) had a past with Drew (Billy Miller), who was her son, Oscar’s (Garren Stitt), father. She fell for another mobster, Julian (William deVry). And then we found out this doctor had been lying to her son about his terminal medical condition.
Oscar died. And Kim went over the bend. On the one hand, no one blames her. What happened to her was horrible. But it didn’t justify Kim drugging Drew so they might conceive another Oscar. Or going after Franco (Roger Howarth) when he was injected with Drew’s memories and decided he was the newly-presumed dead man.
Kim had been acting stranger and stranger. Is it time for her to go? What almost 4,000 had to say:
Go away, Kim, 94% of you are urging. We never quite understood your purpose, but now we flat out don’t like you. Franco is Liz’s (Rebecca Herbst), Julian has reached the end of his rope, and Oscar is gone. There is nothing to keep you here. A fresh start is very much in order.
Port Charles can use a dose of crazy, a tiny 6% of General Hospital fans dispute, someone to stir the pot and make things interesting.
Kim the nice, responsible mom and doctor was dull. But Kim the scheming vixen? Yeah, we’re feeling it. Let’s give Carly a run for her money. Heck, let’s give Nelle (Chloe Lanier) a run for hers! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
