Stars from All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital are reuniting next month for a one-night concert event – ABC Daytime: Back on Broadway. The special will feature a host of musical performances and funds raised will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

As veteran ABC Daytime fans recall, stars from AMC, OLTL, and GH, first gathered for a similar benefit, ABC Daytime Salutes Broadway Cares, back in 2005. Due to the success of the show, subsequent productions were done through 2011.

During that time an impressive $1.85 million was raised. Now, stars from the trio of ABC soaps are getting back together.

Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan, AMC; Home & Family) is set to host the event. Participating actors include: AMC stars Bobbie Eakes (ex-Krystal), Melissa Claire Egan (ex-Annie; now, Chelsea, The Young and the Restless), Vincent Irizarry (ex-David), Eva La Rue (ex-Maria), Susan Lucci (ex-Erica), Eden Riegel (ex-Bianca), Chrishell Stause (ex-Amanda), and Walt Willey (ex-Jackson).

OLTL will be represented by Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr), BethAnn (Bonner) Fuenmayor (ex-Talia), Kathy Brier (ex-Marcie), Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair), David Gregory (ex-Ford), Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline), who won the Tony Award in 2016 for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance in Hamilton; Catherine Hickland (ex-Lindsay), Mark Lawson (ex-Brody), Hillary B. Smith (ex-Nora), Jason Tam (ex-Markko), and Brittany Underwood (ex-Langston).

GH stars taking part in this special night are Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny; Jake, Days of Our Lives), and Anthony Geary (ex-Luke).

This is the second bit of news that has ABC Daytime fans excited. Last year, it was announced that AMC favorites Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley) and Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo) are behind a primetime show Pine Valley, which was the setting for the daytime show.

Lucci appeared on Good Morning America to promote the event, recalling its historic origins. “In 2005 All My Children celebrated its 35th anniversary and we wanted to find a unique way to give back to our wonderful fans and the community,” shared Lucci. “To our amazement, the talented team at Broadway Cares was willing to take on our big idea for this benefit concert.

“I’m beyond thrilled to share these performances with our fans who didn’t get to see them live in New York and further support Broadway Cares during this unprecedented time,” added Lucci.

In a press release, Tom Viola, executive director of Broadway Cares said: “We are so thankful to the stars from ABC Daytime for joining us again as we relive moments from this delightful tradition while helping to provide lifesaving medication, healthy meals, and emergency support to those struggling during this ongoing pandemic.”

The event will be streamed for free and donations will be accepted for Broadway Cares to help those affected by HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, and others with serious illnesses to ensure they get healthy meals, life-saving medications, emergency financial assistance, housing, counseling, and more. Donations will also support organizations focused on social justice and anti-racism.

ABC Daytime: Back on Broadway airs Thursday, February 11 at 8 p.m. ET. It can be streamed for free online, on Broadway Cares’ YouTube channel and on the Good Morning America Facebook page.
