The Days of Our Lives recap for October 28-November 1, 2019, features a nervous, jittery bride and Jordan Ridgeway’s continued reign of terror.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Weekly Highlights

Lani (Sal Stowers) was incredulous at the yarn Gabi (Camila Banus) was spinning her. And she was sure that there was no way Gabi was serious about following through on her plan.

But Gabi was serious. In fact, she was serious as the heart attack she planned to induce in Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) if Lani didn’t agree to dump Eli (Lamon Archey) at the alter.

When Lani wondered how Gabi could hurt Eli, the fashionista countered that she wasn’t out to hurt Eli. She wants to hurt Lani — and torturing Julie is just icing on an already delicious cake. It’s also “so damn easy” considering all she had to do was push a button on an app — don’t you just love modern technology?

What Will Lani Do?

Lani spent the week agonizing over how she could possibly let Eli down, and her decision wasn’t made any easier by the arrival of the woman who serenaded Santa Barbara’s Cruz and Eden at The Orient Express — whoops! That was actually her mother, Tamara (Marilyn McCoo). Although the would-be bride made it down the aisle, it remains to be seen whether or not she will say “I do.”

The Truth Will Out

Rafe (Galen Gering) was rushed to the hospital where the doctors — in cases of suspected poisoning — apparently screen for Salmonella, botulism, and cyanide. Sure enough, cyanide was the winner. And kudos to Rafe for automatically guessing that Jordan (Chrishell Hartley) was the one who poisoned him.

But maybe it had something to do with her screaming very loudly over his slumped body that the poisoned cupcake was meant for Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and not him…

In any case, after attacking a visiting JJ (Casey Moss), Jordan made one last manic plea to Ciara to leave Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). She even offered to let her would-be victim be a third wheel alongside her and David. Luckily, Ben appeared on the scene and managed to snatch his nephew away from his fleeing sister.

Wake Up Call

Having emerged from her years-long slumber, Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) was ready to pick up exactly where she left off. And that was bad news for John (Drake Hogestyn), whom his unwanted ex wanted by her side to rule the Midwestern hamlet as consort.

But there’s a slight problem, Rolf (William Utay) informed his mistress. John is married to Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). “Still?!” PG was mystified that John remained with such a commoner but she planned to remedy that situation.

DAYS Recap: Weekly Musings

What the heck was hidden inside Jordan’s handbag that made it so heavy as to knock JJ out cold following two blows?

What are we calling Princess Gina’s wedding get up? Discount Breakfast at Tiffany’s Audrey Hepburn?

Speaking of PG — she’s got the tiara, she’s got the awful lipstick but apparently the one thing that might soon be missing from the characters arsenal is her ever-trusty cigarette — at least if Dr. Rolf has anything to say about it. As he noted, “cigarette smoking causes serious disease.”

On the subject of smoking, John and Marlena were both aware of the fact that PG smokes. So why, oh why can’t …continue reading on the next page —>

On the subject of smoking, John and Marlena were both aware of the fact that PG smokes. So why, oh why can’t they connect the dots and realize that their old foe has resurfaced?

Did Xander (Paul Telfer) come up with the best — or most crass —  euphemism for sex when he wondered if he could get Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) to “swing from my vine?”

Out of the plethora of deaths that took place during this year’s Halloween special — Maggie (Susan Rogers), Victor (John Aniston), Ciara, Will (Chandler Massey), JJ, Haley (Thia Megia), Rafe, Jordan, and John — which one do you wish could actually stick?

Were you turned off by the proliferation of blood seen on the Halloween special or were you unfazed given the episodes tongue in cheek nature? Finally, do you wonder why Lani doesn’t just tell Eli the truth? Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
