Soap fans are finding their way Beyond the Gates to the Fairmont Crest community, where the people are larger-than-life, and their problems are earth-shattering. The groundbreaking soap started off strong ratings-wise in its premiere week.
Strong Stats
The ratings for Beyond the Gates‘ first week in existence are in, and the news is good. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show “averaged 2.28 million cross-platform viewers” from Feb. 24 – 28. These numbers include streaming and other delayed viewings.
Overall, BTG is giving its timeslot competitor, General Hospital, a run for its money. On broadcast TV, the new CBS daytime drama was virtually tied with GH, racking up a little over 2 million viewers over three days. However, it edged out the Emmy-winning ABC series in key demographics, “including adults and women 25-54.”

Ratings in the all-important 18-49 and 25-54 demos grew 56 percent year-to-year. Plus, Black audiences showed up for BTG. During its debut week, 55% of the show’s audience was made up of Black viewers.
