It became the first-ever one-hour soap to feature a prominent Black family. The cast is commemorating these moments. So is the show’s breakout star, Karla Mosley. She was still on a high from her time on After Midnight.
Now, she’s celebrating another big moment. The show was mentioned in a recent episode of SNL. The NBC show rolled out its Weekend Update, which was great timing because BTG received an honorable mention. Mosley shared a clip of the skit on her Instagram page. She admitted that she manifested this moment, which took her by surprise. It happened sooner than she anticipated.

Crossing Barriers
It’s a big deal for a soap to be mentioned on SNL. This show is already crossing barriers and networks. Soap fans couldn’t be any more excited about this moment. They took to the comment section to react to the video. One fan offered up praise for Mosley’s character, Danni Dupree.

Another fan was excited for millennials to finally have a soap that they could watch from the beginning.
