A Word from Garren Waldo
Why Author Chose This Career: I’ve been enamored of the soap opera genre for as long as I can remember, and my most fervent desire is to one day have my name mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Irna Phillips, Henry Slesar, Pat Falken Smith, and Douglas Marland, or, barring what may be the impossible, at the very least alongside soap journalist greats such as John Kelly Genovese, P.K. Waddle, Mimi Torchin, and Marlena De Lacroix. How Author Began Career: An editor with a masochistic streak and the patience of a saint saw fit to take pity on me, an untried but promising scribe with extensive knowledge of soap operas and storylines past and the ability to entertain via the written word. Personal Interests: Dissecting film and television; plugging the myriad of gaps in my knowledge; reading; penning the next Great American Novel, a play that would make Tennessee Williams weep, and an original TV serial worthy of note. Small goals, really.
