Mariah Copeland and Tessa Porter plan to explore becoming parents on The Young and the Restless. Sharon Rosales offered them the apartment above Crimson Lights. However, it seems like a successful singer and a successful businesswoman should have enough money to buy a home of their own.
When Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) accepted Sharon’s (Sharon Case) offer of Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) newly-empty apartment above the coffee shop, we wondered why?
After all, these two are successful in their own right and presumably have plenty of incoming funds coming in each month. We know that living in a hotel on room service isn’t cheap. That’s why it seems so strange that they’d rent an apartment when they’re looking to start a family instead of finding something more permanent.
Don’t get us wrong, we love that these two plan to move out of The Grand Phoenix Hotel (we can think of a few more who should too). However, it’s truly strange that they’re renting a small apartment from Mariah’s mom instead of laying down roots in their own place. Of course, it could simply be like Sharon’s never-changing house decor — it’s easy and convenient. Plus, there’s always coffee and pastries available.
Perhaps Mariah and Tessa realized that with a new addition, they’ll need quite a bit of help. In that case, maybe living above Sharon’s coffee shop where Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) helps out sometimes makes reasonable sense. It does seem like the location would allow for some help whenever they become parents. Even so, we’d love to see these two in a more grown-up setting instead of living like people in their early 20s.
