The Young and the Restless spoilers have a long and glorious history of sperm going missing. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) stole Victor’s (Eric Braeden) to conceive Abby (Melissa Ordway).

Diane tried to do the same and gave birth to a little boy she named Christian – after Victor. But then, oops, turned out the baby was actually Jack’s (Peter Bergman). She changed it to Kyle (Michael Mealor).

Now, we’re wondering if desperation may lead Elena (Brytni Sarpy) to head down the same road.

Means

It would seem that Genoa City sperm banks are open access. We visualize shelves and shelves of samples where anyone can just walk in and help themselves (especially since COVID hasn’t hit Genoa City).

Devon (Bryton James) is planning to donate in order to help Abby conceive a child for her and Chance in which Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is supposed to carry. Which means his sample is now fair game!

Motive

Elena didn’t break up with Devon. Devon dumped her when she slept with Nate (Sean Dominic). Elena didn’t want to break up with Nate. He dumped her when she slept with Devon. (Anyone see a pattern?)

Now Elena has nothing. If Elena had Devon’s baby, she’d have something. The two of them slept together recently, so he’d believe it if she told him she’d gotten pregnant that night. Of course, she and Nate slept together, too. He might think the baby is his. So Elena would have not just Devon’s attention, but Nate’s, too. It’s a win-win!

Opportunity

Elena’s window of opportunity is quite short. She needs to do it as soon as she and Devon slept together as possible, but before Abby uses up all that sperm for herself. Which means she better get a move on. As a doctor, Elena has access, and the knowledge to Do It Yourself.
