The Young and the Restless Recap: Listen To Your Elders

The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, January 18, 2021, features Victor and Nikki advising Victoria how to live her life, Traci telling Abby to keep the faith, and Billy lecturing Lily about how to be romantic.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) urges Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to go with her to Hawaii to take care of business. Victoria insists they can do just as well from snowy Wisconsin.

Victor (Eric Braeden) pops up to agree and remind Victoria that he took vacations while running Newman, and since he is the epitome of how to do everything correctly, Victoria should follow in his footsteps. Victoria makes up some excuses about needing to take care of the kids, but Nikki calls Billy (Jason Thompson) and gets him to commit to picking up the slack.

Ice Queen

Billy lets Lily (Christel Khalil) know that he’s about to take on full-time childcare in addition to a full-time job. But Billy is so awesome, he can do all of the above AND insist that Lily should spontaneously ditch work and spontaneously go ice skating with him. When she doesn’t spontaneously agree, Billy spontaneously makes her feel like a stick in the mud until she spontaneously agrees.

A Dream Denied

Abby (Melissa Ordway) is crushed to learn she’ll never be able to carry a baby. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) stops by to offer that it’s really a shame. Then she leaves again.

Traci (Beth Maitland) spends more time supporting Abby, reminding her that she still has lots of options. Sure, she can’t carry a baby, but she’s rich enough to hire a surrogate, to adopt, to experiment with risky new treatments. Let’s not give up hope yet!

Third Party

Sharon (Sharon Case) stops by to see Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Chelsea isn’t pleased and imagines that Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) new bride is out to seduce Chelsea’s man. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
