Y&R spoilers have shown Mariah Copeland has spent weeks locked up alone with no one but unborn Baby Bowie to chat with. This wasn’t a situation she was expecting when she agreed to be Abby Chancellor’s surrogate.
As a result, Mariah has become much more attached than she intended to. Will she be reluctant to part with the little boy once he’s born? What over 3,000 are suspecting will happen next:
A promise is a promise, 63% of the audience is putting their foot down. The child isn’t biologically Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes). She’s basically a human incubator and her feelings – not to mention the trauma she’s just been through thanks to Abby Abbott-Newman Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) – is irrelevant.
Abby hatched the scheme, Abby has gotten teary-eyed every time it began to look like she might not get her way, and so Abby deserves to have everything handed to her on a silver platter, like the Abbott-Newman she is. Mariah can get therapy or something. Y&R spoilers suggest she’ll be fine.
It’s too soon to tell, 23% of you hedge. All the way up to this point, Mariah has been calling Abby and Chance Bowie’s parents. But what happens when the child actually exits her body, she takes a look at his little face… and the hormones kick in.
Mariah’s hormones don’t know there’s a legal contract and another mom standing by. They know that Mariah has delivered this child, and now they are bonded for eternity. She has the right to change her mind.
A final 14% take it a step further and insist that nothing could pry Bowie out of Mariah’s arms. It’s not a case of her giving him to Abby then changing her mind. It’s a case of her digging in and not letting go. She can feed the kid. Can Abby do that?
