Will Nikki Newman get rid of Audra Charles?
Y&R spoilers have done nothing to change the perception that Newman Enterprises is an absolutely awful place to work. People get fired at the whim of a guy who is no longer even in charge. When they aren’t being fired for something that’s going on in their personal lives.
Nikki made it clear to Audra that if she wanted to keep her job, she would need to quit sleeping with Nikki’s granddaughter’s estranged husband. This is what we in the real world like to call: super duper illegal and grounds for a lawsuit that could run Newman into the ground. Audra claimed that she’d dumped Kyle. But will that be enough to convince Nikki to keep Audra around?
If Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was smart, she would. Audra is the best kind of employee: The kind that has no values or principles. She’s in it for the money. Which means she will always go to the highest bidder. She won’t be swayed by morals or love or loyalty. Just be the highest bidder always, and she will be in your corner, always. Who else can you say that about? Certainly not your children.
But, Nikki isn’t that smart. Nikki has some values, and some principles, and she is tragically motivated by loyalty, not to mention love. She loves Summer (Allison Lanier). Summer is all with the sads about Kyle (Michael Mealor) walking out on her over Summer’s Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) lies. Nikki wants Summer to have her heart’s desire, and if that’s Kyle, then Audra needs to go bye-bye.
Nikki may keep Audra around while she’s preoccupied with Victor’s (Eric Braeden) latest musical chair of heirs. She wants to make sure Adam (Mark Grossman) is out and Nikki’s precious Nicholas is in. But once that’s set, she will remember Audra and kick her to the curb, which will be a mistake. On multiple levels.
