Y&R Spoilers Speculation: How Rey’s Death Will Impact Teriah Wedding

Y&R spoilers revealed that as soon as Mariah Copeland and Tessa Porter heard about Rey Rosales’s death, they insisted on postponing their wedding. Sharon Rosales was equally as adamant that the nuptials happen as planned.

But is she even thinking straight right now? Rey’s death will cast a huge pall over everyone in Genoa City’s lives…including the almost newlyweds. How over 3,000 voters predict this will play out:

Honor Thy Step-Father

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) planned a 1970s-style glam rock wedding. That doesn’t exactly fit with Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) aesthetic, but 56% of the audience is still confident speculating that they’ll find some way to honor him during the vows.

It will be especially important, since Rey’s mother, Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue), wants her oldest son buried in their hometown of Miami. Which means we won’t even get to see his funeral. A mention at the Teriah wedding may be the best we can hope for, judging from Y&R spoilers. Especially after Rey was killed off, off-screen.

The brides were right, they should delay the wedding, at least until Sharon (Sharon Case) has had some time to grieve her latest husband. Celebrating while your mother is in mourning is a bit tacky. And really puts a pall on the night. If they want to have a blow-out celebration, they’re better off pushing the date back a bit, 32% predicted.

Just how important was Rey to Mariah and Tessa really, 12% of you speculate. Yeah, he was her stepdad. But, for what, a little over a year? A year during which Mariah was hardly a kid living at home, like Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). She and Tessa had their own lives, their own dramas. Heck, Y&R spoilers revealed that Mariah spent a solid chunk of that year kidnapped and away from everybody. Then she spent it missing the baby she gave away. Rey was just someone in the background. Where, alas, he’s likely to stay.
