The Y&R spoilers for Thursday, May 12, 2022, force Nicholas Newman into the difficult decision of wondering whether the needs of thousands of low-income people might be a slight bit more important than his peace of mind, while Ashland Locke continues with his push to be absolved, and Nikki Newman is forced to make sure he isn’t — ever.
The Y&R Spoilers Highlights
When Ashland (Robert Newman) offered Nick (Joshua Morrow) a quarter of a billion dollars for New Hope, money Nick could use to build affordable housing and free clinics and improve the lives of the most vulnerable, Nick said, “Hmm, but what’s in it for me?”
Well, OK, he didn’t exactly say that. What he said was, “How dare you donate money to the poor in order to assuage your guilty conscience! Don’t you know how potentially upsetting that is…for me?”
Now Y&R spoilers reveal that Nick is forced to wonder if he might need to put someone else ahead of his own fragile feelings. He’s in a bit of a bind. If he takes Ashland’s money, that might suggest he forgives him for being a bad man. He might even be forced to consider how his own father made the money, which Nick is now so blithely spending. And Nick hates being made to think.
Charm Offensive
Meanwhile, Ashland continues his apology tour — hey, did he ever get to see Harrison on this visit? The poor tyke must be suffering some serious jet lag as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) whips him from one time zone to the next.
Y&R Spoilers: Protection Mode
As Ashland begs forgiveness, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) uses her new position as co-CEO of Newman Enterprises to make sure Ashland is personally punished for his transgressions — but that the company is never held accountable for its own lapse in judgment.
