The Y&R spoilers for Monday, March 14, 2022, continue to circle around Ashland Locke, as he tries to prove himself to Nikki Newman, and Victor Newman takes desperate measures to protect Victoria Newman. Plus, Jack Abbott gets yet another shock similar to the one he got back in 1994.
Ashland (Robert Newman) had no trouble convincing Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that her father was gunning for him with his story of how Ashland faked his terminal cancer diagnosis. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was less easy to manipulate. And Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) really isn’t buying it.
However, Ashland didn’t get his Locke Ness Monster monicker by curling up and dying. He knows a place to drive a wedge when he sees one, and now Ashland is gambling that Nikki’s sympathies for her daughter might trump her unwavering loyalty to her husband.
Victor (Eric Braeden), meanwhile, has no doubts that he is doing the right thing in making it so Victoria is forced to confront the fact that her husband never loved her and only married her in order to steal the family company out from under her. Some fathers would allow their daughters to be happy, but Victor isn’t that kind of sucker. If he isn’t hurting Victoria, how will she possibly know that Daddy cares?
Almost 30 years ago, Jack (Peter Bergman) got blindsided by news of his having fathered a son back during his Vietnam days. Now, Jack is equally shocked to learn that his son had a daughter. Just a few months ago, Jack first met Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) and learned he was a grandfather. Congratulations times two: It’s a girl! And this one is all grown up… and likely not going to be as sanguine to meet her new family members.
