Y&R spoilers for Friday, April 22, 2022
The Y&R spoilers for Friday, April 22, 2022, somehow manage to make the most important players in Rey Rosales’s death the Newman family and Chelsea Lawson. Instead of, you know, his wife, mother, and siblings.
Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) filled Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) in about her husband’s passing and did his best to comfort her. In the meantime, Nick’s brother, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), ran to the side of Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan)…the woman who tried to kill Rey and frame Adam for the crime.
Oh, and the one whom he guarded for a couple of weeks to make sure she didn’t jump bail and flee the jurisdiction. And the one whose kid he took to the park a couple of times, and was going to take to a hockey game the night he died. Yes, obviously, Chelsea is practically a widow! You can see why Adam is concerned.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is still recovering from a car accident and the knowledge that she was involved in Rey’s demise. Which makes it the perfect time for the men in her life to start a measuring contest about just who is in charge here — of Victoria.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) can’t believe anyone would even question his right to take control of the situation. He automatically takes control of all situations, and this one actually involves his daughter. Who else should be the one who decides what happens next?
Well, how about Ashland Locke (Robert Newman)? He’s technically still Victoria’s husband (surely, those annulment papers couldn’t have been processed already). Oh, and he’s the guy who actually saw the accident, which means he’s the guy who can…oh, we don’t know…keep Victoria out of prison for vehicular homicide! The main thing to remember, though, is, Victoria’s life…isn’t up to her.
