Victoria will do anything for Claire.
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, February 16 prove that the Newmans don’t know how to give up, as Victoria protects Claire from all enemies foreign and domestic, and Victor goes after the one non-guilty person in Genoa City.
From the moment Victoria (Amelia Heinle) found out — OK, from the moment Victoria believed — that Claire (Hayley Erin) was her long-lost baby, Eve Nicole, Victoria vowed to take care of Claire in a way she hadn’t been able to while the kidnapped girl was growing up. That means not only scratching Aunt Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) eyes out if she had to. It also means standing up to Victor (Eric Braeden). Victoria isn’t good at standing up to Daddy when it comes to herself. But, for Claire, she’ll tell him to step off. And to stay that way.
Victor seems a little confused about what an Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor is supposed to do. He appears to be under the impression that not only is an AA sponsor supposed to snitch on the person they’re sponsoring to their significant other, but that they are singlehandedly responsible for keeping the drinker from drinking. As opposed to reminding the alcoholic of their personal responsibility, choices, and agency.
That Jack (Peter Bergman) has done neither of those things is driving Victor crazy. AA doesn’t help everyone and the odds against Jack succeeding are actually quite high. But since when has Victor been a numbers guy? He blames Jack for Nikki’s falling off the wagon. And he’s here to bellow about it!
Kay (Jeanne Cooper) inherited Chancellor Enterprises from her first husband, then gave it to her second husband, Phillip, to run. Billy (Jason Thompson) is the son of the woman Phillip had an affair with while married to Kay.
Devon (Bryton James) is Kay’s grandson from an affair she had before marrying either her first husband or Phillip. Now they are arguing over who is more entitled to the company. Here is a spoiler: Neither of you.
