The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, January 24, 2024 prove that Nikki is the woman of the hour, as Victor and Jack come up with very different ways to support her battle with the bottle.
Jack (Peter Bergman) got the 411 on Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) from Lauren (remember when Nikki asked for her help here). He then discussed his options with Diane (Susan Walters). Only then did he approach Nikki, herself.
Jack assured his ex-wife that he would be there for her, that he would give her whatever he needed, and that he had faith in her ability to wage a bloody battle and win. Jack was the poster child for being a good friend and an ally.
And, there’s Victor (Eric Braeden). Victor doesn’t like Nikki’s Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, Seth (Brian Gaskill). Victor thinks she should get another one. Preferably not a man who is younger than Victor. And better looking than Victor. (He didn’t actually say that, but it was oozing from every pore.) Victor also says he’s supportive of Nikki’s struggle. But he undermines that by piling on the stress. Victor is upset about Claire (Hayley Erin).

Victor is upset about Cole (J. Eddie Peck). And Victor is sharing his feelings with Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Which is making Victoria upset. Which makes Nikki upset. And whenever Nikki is upset, Victor points out that it’s not good for her. Why can’t she just chill? Really, does Victor have to do all of her thinking for her? Well, yes, if she continues making bad decisions the way she has been. He has no other choice!
Meanwhile, Abby (Melissa Ordway), the Newman no one remembers, and the Abbott who only periodically comes up in conversation, has decided it’s time for her to strike out on her own. As long as it’s OK with Devon (Bryton James). Who’s been pretty busy doing stuff without her, too.
