The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, January 11, 2024, has Nikki begging Lauren to keep a big secret from Victor.

Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Victor reluctantly agreed to supply security and the Newman jet for Victoria to take Claire to see Jordan. Sally and Adam had an awkward encounter with Nick at the GCAC. Victoria finally filled Nate in on her life. Now, let’s dig deeper into what happened.

Off The Wagon

At Newman Enterprises, Nick (Joshua Morrow) updated Victor (Eric Braeden) on business, and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) showed up. Things got slightly awkward when she realized Nick had been promoted to co-CEO, and Nick hesitated to tell his sister that Adam was also co-CEO.

Surprisingly, Victoria handled it in a most un-Victoria-like manner. She told Victor that whatever he thought was best was fine with her. Instead, Victoria wanted a favor from her father — the Newman jet and security to take Claire to visit Jordan.

Victor was against it, and as they discussed things, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) arrived. She was beside herself over Victoria’s request. Nikki begged Victor not to grant it while Victoria begged him to help her help Claire. Ultimately, Victor reluctantly agreed, and Nikki left in a huff, going to her office and downing the alcohol in her flask. Victor knocked on the door looking for her, but she didn’t answer.

Later, Nikki stumbled into the Genoa City Athletic Club, and she ran into Lauren (Tracey Bregman) who instantly knew Nikki was drunk. Lauren tried to call Victor and drive her home, but Nikki begged her not to.

Instead, Lauren took her upstairs, and she ordered some coffee. Victor called, and Nikki begged Lauren to lie for her. Lauren wasn’t pleased, but she moved forward with the lie, telling Victor they were working together. Of course, nothing gets past Victor, so he immediately knew Nikki had been drinking, and Lauren confirmed it without Nikki realizing she had. Once she hung up, Lauren emphatically told Nikki she’d never lie for her again.

Reconnection And Friends

Victoria headed to Crimson Lights, and Nate (Sean Dominic) walked in. He almost walked out, but instead, he steeled himself and greeted Victoria. He could tell she wasn’t doing well, so Nate offered to talk as friends, which Victoria took him up on.

On the patio, they had a bit of small talk, and then Victoria dropped the bombshell news on him that Claire Grace was her daughter. She told him the whole sordid tale, and Nate was suitably horrified. She thanked Nate for helping her mother despite how poorly they’d treated him. (Remember how Victor fired him?)

As they talked, Victoria noted she’d missed their closeness. Nate let her know that he wasn’t going to compete with Victor in her life, and he knew that her family was central to her. Because of that, Nate let Victoria firmly know that they were friends only, and he left as she looked on wistfully.

Romance And Awkward Moments

In the GCAC dining room, Sally (Courtney Hope) and Adam (Mark Grossman) enjoyed a true date, which thrilled Adam. She invited him up to her room for chocolates, and he remained cautious, ensuring that’s what she really wanted. Sally reassured Adam that she didn’t want their evening to end, so they headed upstairs.

Nick walked in right as they were going upstairs, and it was awkward. (Here’s why they broke up.) Adam told his brother he’d let Sally know about their success, and she congratulated Nick. He didn’t seem too thrilled, and when they left, he went straight over to the bar and ordered a drink. A timely phone call pulled him away, so he missed his mother’s drunken entrance.

Upstairs, Sally and Adam ended up having a different type of dessert, and they fell into bed.
