The Y&R spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 31, 2022, brings a disagreement between Nate Hastings and Devon Hamilton, but Billy Abbott manages to save the day. Plus, Elena Dawson and Imani Benedict square off while Amanda Sinclair bites her nails, and Nick Newman checks in with Sharon Rosales about Cassie Newman.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
At a meeting for Chancellor Winters, Devon (Bryton James) and Nate (Sean Dominic) had a huge disagreement about how to reveal their plans at the launch party. Billy stepped in with a compromise, which seemed to smooth things over.
Later, at home, Nate told Elena (Brytni Sarpy) all about it, and he mentioned that it was likely growing pains. Then he had some sympathy for Devon’s situation given he was going from being the only boss to sharing the duties. He also felt bad about them not having much alone time, and Nate declared he planned to work around Elena’s schedule since she is his priority, which was music to Elena’s worried ears.
Young and the Restless: Nightmare
That’s because earlier Elena woke up from a nightmare about Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose) seducing Nate. Then, she went to Crimson Lights and ran into the potential homewrecker herself. Even though she didn’t want to, Elena joined Imani, and they shared some pointed words. Then, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) walked in, and she didn’t like the vibe between her sister and Elena.
After Elena left, Amanda once again warned Imani off Nate, and her sister assured her there wasn’t any issue. Then, Amanda ran home to pick up some documents she left, overheard Devon talking with Dominic, so she went upstairs to join them.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: How Dare You
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was at loose ends, so she showed up at Society. Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) was none too thrilled to see her there. After they shared some words, Billy walked in, and he managed to sit down with Diane. She was so desperate for companionship that she wanted to talk with him.
He asked her what she intended to do and pointed out that he hasn’t forgotten what she did to hurt Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Ultimately, Billy promised to give Diane a chance, but he warned her that the moment she showed she was anything other than truthful about her reasons for returning, he wouldn’t be on her side.
As for Abby, her handsome hubby Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) showed up, and they shared a kiss. Then, he explained that he planned to finish Rey’s cases, which Abby thought would make Rey proud.
Y&R: Memory Lane
Earlier, Sharon (Sharon Case) was working at Crimson Lights when Chance came in, and he talked to her about taking over Rey’s cases and how he and the GCPD are there for her.
Later, Nick (Joshua Morrow) talked to Sharon about the anniversary of Cassie’s (Camryn Grimes) death. It happened a few days before, and Nick wondered why they hadn’t remembered their little girl together. Sharon explained that her grief over Cassie and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) was just too much for her to handle, so she compartmentalized it — simply working on making it through that day.
Now, Cassie has been gone longer than she was with them. However, even though it was a few days late, Sharon felt strong enough to go with Nick to her grave. After visiting Cassie off-screen, Sharon thanked her ex for helping her through a rough patch. That’s what families are for.
