Y&R Spoilers Recap For June 23: Summer Calls Phyllis’s Bluff

The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, June 23, 2022, brings Summer Newman Abbott calling Phyllis Summers’s bluff, Diane Jenkins and Michael Baldwin growing closer, Amanda Sinclair and Imani Benedict bonding over their mom’s illness, and Elena Dawson and Nate Hastings once again failing to have time for each other.

Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights

Summer (Allison Lanier) would not give up on finding out what happened between Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Jack expertly avoided her questions. He also managed to let Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) know that this is his time to spread his wings and show the world what he can do.

Later, Phyllis texted Summer to let her know she was back, and she asked her daughter to meet her in her hotel suite without telling anybody else. Summer showed up, but she wasn’t sure about all the secrecy. Ultimately, Phyllis tried to convince Summer that she’d turned over new leaf and planned to hit the reset button with Diane, so after warning her mom not to cause problems, she called Phyllis’s bluff and asked her to go see Diane right then.

Young and the Restless: Friends

Before that, Phyllis lurked in Chancellor Park wearing her big hat disguise. She listened as Michael (Christian Le Blanc) and Diane chatted. Michael asked Diane about her time in Los Angeles, and he warned her that he was investigating her. Diane said her time as Taylor Jensen was an open book without much to tell since she was working on herself. Overall, the conversation was very friendly.

Then, Jack showed up, and they exchanged pleasantries. Jack told Diane to head over to the Abbott mansion because Kyle had some good news to share, so they both left. After that, Michael told Phyllis to come out because his Phyllisdar was quite sensitive. Phyllis flipped out about how friendly Michael was with Diane, but he reminded her that she’s no Pollyanna and has a past filled with misdeeds.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: Family

Amanda (Mishael Morgan) cried when Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose) told her about their mom’s recent stroke and the care she was getting. They comforted each other, and then Imani suggested that Amanda go stay with Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) when she’s well enough for visitors. Amanda tried to say she was too busy with work, but Imani reminded her how few days she’d spent with their mother.

Later at home, Amanda told Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), and he said family comes first — ahead of work. She cried to him too, and they agreed that she would spend time with Naya.

Y&R: Disappointment

Before that, Devon and Elena (Brytni Sarpy) met in the hallway, and he overheard her getting an offer to speak at a conference in Hawaii. Excitedly, she asked if Nate (Sean Dominic) could go, and Devon gave his blessing.

Elena went inside the penthouse and was surprised that Nate was there. He’d stayed home to have a meal together before he went back to work. She told him all about the trip, but Nate said it wasn’t good timing for work. Then, when he found out Elena had talked to Devon about it already, he wasn’t pleased. They left things on a good note, but Elena was sad that their jobs kept keeping them from each other’s big moments.

At Crimson Lights, Imani overheard Elena talking to somebody on the phone about her trip, and she realized Nate would be alone while Elena was in Hawaii.
