Young and the Restless: Demotion
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) told Victor (Eric Braeden) that she wanted to promote Nate (Sean Dominic). Victor didn’t think Nate was ready, and he had another idea of who could fill the co-CEO slot anyway.
Victoria presumed that Victor would make Adam her second in command, but he told her that Adam would start at the bottom and work his way up. Victor stunned Victoria by letting her know he made her his co-CEO at Newman Enterprises. She ranted about her demotion and said she understood why Nick kept leaving because performance and devotion meant nothing to him.

At Crimson Lights, Esther (Kate Linder) taunted Adam (Mark Grossman) about yet another screwup. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) walked in and agreed entirely with the coffee shop manager. She and Adam took their drinks to the patio, and Nikki let her stepson know she didn’t buy his performance. She warned him to back off and stop his plans, or she’d make it her new life’s mission to destroy Adam and those he cared about.
Adam remained calm and appreciated Nikki’s drive to protect Victor and her family. He promised to prove Nikki wrong if she’d give him a chance, but Nikki was done giving him chances. She gave him 24 hours to drop his scheme, or he’d regret it.
At the office, Victor firmly told Victoria he planned to take over because things had been disjointed. Victoria said nothing felt like unity, but Victor didn’t give a damn what she thought. Victoria stormed out, and Nikki walked in, wanting to know what had happened.
Victor told his wife that he’d stepped back into the CEO position, and she was displeased he hadn’t discussed it with her. However, Victor didn’t want Nikki to talk him out of it. He said he wasn’t happy not running the company. Adam walked in, wanting to clear up a misunderstanding on Nikki’s part.
Victor wanted to know what he needed to correct, and Adam reiterated that he was truly changing his life. He promised to prove Nikki wrong and to serve Victor.
Young and the Restless Recap: Alliances
At the GCAC bar, Nate (Sean Dominic) updated Audra (Zuleyka Silver) that Nick had turned down the job as Victoria’s co-CEO. He presumed he’d get the promotion, but Audra didn’t think it’d be easy. She warned him that things may not work out how he wanted and advised him to have a backup plan.
A furious Abby (Melissa Ordway) barged into Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) suite, demanding to know what he’d done to her mom. Tucker declared Ashley was okay, and she stayed in Paris to think things through, but Abby wanted details. She didn’t buy that Tucker didn’t do something to upset her mom.
Tucker declared he did everything right, but Ashley could not see he’d changed. Tucker tried to leave, and Abby followed him, yelling. However, Tucker wasn’t at all willing to ease her mind. He warned Abby and the Abbotts to “stay the hell” away from him.
Tucker joined Nate and Audra at the bar, and he advised them not to trust each other. Nate snarked at him about what he must’ve done to blow things up. Audra tried to calm him down. Nate got a text and stepped away, so Tucker told Audra she used to know him but not anymore.
Tucker warned her that she was in way over her head with Nate. She offered to be his friend, and he thanked her before going upstairs. She went to his suite, and they began kissing.
Later, Victoria told Nate about the demotion. She said she couldn’t decide on something so huge while she was angry. The couple went upstairs and hit the sheets. In the aftermath, Victoria declared she wouldn’t let her dad take the company away.
Y&R Recap: Sparks Fly
At Chancellor Park, Sharon (Sharon Case) asked Chance (Conner Floyd) to join her on a work trip. Summer walked up, and she and Chance chatted about her trip. Sharon appreciated hearing Summer was feeling like a whole new woman. Summer thanked Chance for being there for her as a friend when she needed him. Sharon didn’t seem to love what she saw during their exchange.
Chance took a call, and Sharon told Summer about the company and working with Nick. Summer wondered if Phyllis still had a job there, but Chance interrupted that he was meeting to find out if he would be the next chief of police. Summer was ecstatic about it. Chance turned Sharon down on her trip offer, and Summer wished them both success. She looked on wistfully as Chance and Sharon left, and she flashed back on her and Chance’s previous talks.
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) told Devon (Bryton James) that she worried she’d made a mistake by staying with him and Abby. Devon reassured Mariah that she was doing okay and just felt overwhelmed.
Later, Abby updated Devon on her worries about Tucker and her mom.
