Adam (Mark Grossman) confronted Nate (Sean Dominic) about what he’d told Victor, but Nate wasn’t ready to reveal it. Ultimately, Adam told Nate that Victor planned to fold SNA Media into Newman Media. When Adam got a text to meet someone at his apartment, Nate texted Audra (Zuleyka Silver).
Audra and Nate met at the GCAC, and she wasn’t thrilled to learn she’d likely be out as the CEO of Newman Media. Nate promised Audra he wouldn’t let her be fired, but she didn’t believe he had that type of pull. Audra declared she planned to fight for her job.

Sally (Courtney Hope) went to Adam’s, and she wanted to talk about his job offer. She had lots of questions, and Adam revealed that SNA Media and Newman Media would merge. Adam wanted to run the company with Sally. However, she thought it’d be Adam, Sharon, and Nick.
Speaking of Nick (Joshua Morrow), he and Sharon talked, worrying about what Victor had planned. Sharon urged caution, and the two went to Adam’s to discuss the situation. Nick wondered why Sally was at his brother’s, and she let them know Adam had offered her a job, which neither appreciated since Adam hadn’t run it by them.
Sally wanted out of the uncomfortable situation. She and Nick talked alone before she left, and Nick wasn’t pleased she hadn’t run it by him, but they parted with plans to meet later. After she left, Nick, Sharon, and Adam agreed the situation with them wasn’t working. Adam felt he should take charge.
Of course, Nick and Sharon didn’t agree with Adam. They argued about the situation. Adam told Sharon with a bigger company, she’d have more power to do good no matter what her title was. Again, Nick and Sharon didn’t like it. Sharon yelled at Adam, and Nick told his brother to get his ambition in check before he destroyed everything.
Victor (Eric Braeden) told Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) about his plans for SNA Media over a game of chess. Nikki wondered what her husband was up to, and he told her Nate had impressed him. Later, Audra showed up, and Nikki and Victor were taken aback.
Audra let them know that Nate had tipped her off, which raised their eyebrows. She pointed out all the positives she’d accomplished at Newman Media. While Victor didn’t promise to keep her as the CEO of Newman Enterprises, he promised her that she’d have a position at Newman.
When Audra left, Nikki complained about Nate and Audra’s drive and obsession, but Victor liked it. Nikki said it was great until it became a problem. Victor wondered if he should mentor Audra, but Nikki said the woman, along with Nate, needed a short leash.
Audra went back to GCAC, and she updated Nate on what happened. He praised her for her star quality.
At Crimson Lights, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) worried that Esther (Kate Linder) would be stretched too thin working at the coffee shop and at Chancellor-Winters. However, Esther reassured her daughter she was up to the new challenge. She wanted to hit the ground running, and ultimately, Chloe offered her mom her support.
Later, Chloe and Sally met up at Crimson Lights. Chloe wanted to know if her friend got a new job, and Sally said it wasn’t a specific job, but something was going to happen. Chloe felt relieved since she had a job, too.
At Chancellor Park, Elena (Bryni Sarpy) eased Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) minds when they learned Aria may have hearing loss. After they discussed the baby, talk turned to Elena’s life. She explained she’d been working extra shifts at the hospital and working on some new research.
Mariah and Tessa worried about Elena not dealing with what happened with Nate, but Elena felt happy with what she was doing. Elena was grateful for their friendship and support. However, she said she didn’t need a partner to be fulfilled, and her work fulfilled her.
The new moms went to Crimson Lights looking for Sharon, but they found Esther. The new coffee house manager raised her voice in excitement over her new job, and Aria started crying. That relieved Mariah and Tessa since their daughter had reacted to a loud sound.
