Y&R Recap Highlights

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) had their relationship celebration hijacked by Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Elsewhere, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) told Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) all about the baby he lost. At Society, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) clashed with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) over Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), while Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) worried about Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) attachment to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Later, she was surprised to see Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) walk in. Nate and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) had a meeting about his first day on the job. Now, let’s take a deeper look at what happened.

Young and the Restless: Oh Brother

Sally and Nick prepared for their day, and she planned some pampering. Nick suggested they celebrate their relationship, so they showed up at Glam Club, and Sally noticed that Noah wasn’t there, which she appreciated since they wouldn’t have to keep things PG.

She leaned in and kissed Nick as Adam showed up and saw it. Later they got a bottle of alcohol they didn’t order, and Nick looked over and saw Adam sitting there, and it seemed he’d sent it. Sally worried Adam was going to cause another scene.

Nick admitted that he didn’t want to have to leave due to his brother, and he also didn’t want to stay and let Adam make a scene. Sally encouraged Nick not to allow Adam to dictate their moves, and she suggested they stay and have their evening together. They did just that and cracked open the wine Adam sent them.

The new duo had a great evening together and prepared to go home. Adam stopped them, and he asked to speak with Sally in private. Nick didn’t want them to, but Sally agreed to it. She gave Adam two minutes. Sally told Adam he couldn’t continue demanding to talk to her. He apologized for being out of line earlier.

Adam admitted that seeing Sally and Nick together was eating away at him, and he declared that Sally deserved better than Nick. She said it wasn’t his concern, but Adam insisted it was his fault, and then he asked Sally to marry him.

Y&R Recap: A Confession

Earlier, Billy and Lily walked into Crimson Lights, and he asked Sharon for an update on Chelsea. Sharon relayed that Adam and Chelsea had been upstairs with Connor for a while. Adam walked in, and he told Billy and Sharon that Chelsea handled telling their son well, but he also told Billy that Chelsea didn’t need his support. Adam walked out, and Lily, Billy, and Sharon looked uneasy.

Lily, Sharon, and Billy talked about Chelsea telling Connor. Billy didn’t believe Adam, but both Sharon and Lily said they should take Adam at his word. Billy wanted to go upstairs, but Sharon cautioned him not to interrupt Chelsea and Connor’s time together. He reluctantly agreed, so Billy and Lily went to have dinner.

Noah walked in, and Sharon had some questions for her son about how he felt when she was spiraling in her bipolar disorder. He admitted that it was hard, but he also said how reassuring it was when Sharon got help and came back stronger. Sharon talked about how she realized it was difficult for him.

He mentioned Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), and then Sharon said that she was terrified that one of her kids would inherit her disorder, and when she mentioned Noah’s future kids, he bristled a bit. Sharon instantly picked up on it, and Noah didn’t want to talk about it, but she pushed. Noah revealed that Audra had been pregnant.

Sharon expressed her support. Noah tearfully admitted he was struggling with all the “what ifs” he had. He felt a significant loss, though. Sharon empathized with her son, mourning a child that never was. He pointed out that the baby would’ve been her first grandchild. He asked Sharon to keep the details to herself, and he said Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) was the only other one who knew. Noah beat himself up for the way he handled the breakup. Sharon encouraged her son to stop worrying about what he did or didn’t do.

Y&R Recap: Family Matters

At Newman Media, Nate talked on the phone, and when he hung up, Elena walked in, and they had a pleasant conversation about how his first day went. She gifted him a lovely photo for his desk. She wanted to go to dinner, but Nate had a meeting with Victoria.

Elena seemed surprised, but he told her to go to Society and get them a table. He insisted he’d be able to get away from work, and as she walked out, Elena said she enjoyed seeing Nate happy with his work again.

When Elena got to Society, she spotted a deeply thoughtful Devon at the bar. She went over to him, and he evaded her questions about what he’d been thinking about. She offered to help, but Devon said he had to figure it out on his own. Elena offered to have a drink together when Nate got there, but Devon didn’t want to have a drink with a traitor.

Devon took Elena to task for taking Nate back, but she defended her choice and her boyfriend. Even so, Devon wasn’t at all interested in reconciling. Elena wanted to agree to disagree, and Devon was salty. Even so, they moved on and tried to talk about other things, and she mentioned Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). Devon didn’t give Elena the details, and Lily and Billy walked in. Billy wanted to share a table, and Devon passed, and so did Lily and Billy when Elena said she was meeting Nate.

Lily and Billy sat down, and she admitted she was frustrated that Billy kept her out of the loop about Chelsea. She worried that Billy didn’t trust her. Billy denied that it had anything to do with their relationship. Lily felt caught between admiring Billy’s dedication to Chelsea and worrying about their relationship. Lily encouraged Billy to take a step back, but he said he’d made a promise to Chelsea and he wouldn’t leave her high and dry.

At that point, Billy got a text from Chelsea, wanting to meet to talk at Crimson Lights. Billy wasn’t going to go, but Lily encouraged him to go, and he agreed. Lily thanked him for listening to her, and he left. Lily went to the bar to sit by her brother. They had some snarky back and forth, and Devon offered to talk about whatever bothered Lily, and she said no, so Devon decided to head home.

At the meeting, Nate updated Victoria about his first day. He relayed that Sally had done a great job and implemented some great ideas. He sang her praises, which seemed to annoy Victoria. Nate also admitted he wasn’t sure why she’d brought him in to replace Sally.

Victoria conceded that Sally may have had some good ideas, but it didn’t make her a good leader. She noted that the only reason Sally was there was Adam, and she said she made changes. Nate wondered if she was trying to get back at her brother. She said it wasn’t that, but Victoria did admit that she didn’t particularly like Sally. Victoria advised Nate not to focus on what Sally did at the company. They talked about Nate’s vision of the future.

Nate got a text from Elena, interrupting his talk with Victoria. He admitted that the text was from Elena because they were supposed to meet for a late dinner. He texted her back that the meeting had gone long. Victoria and Nate continued talking, and they had momentum, so Nate chose not to stop to go meet Elena.

At Society, Elena got fed up waiting on Nate, and she left. On her way out, Elena told Lily she hoped her night ended better than hers. A man walked in, and Lily was stunned and elated to see it was her returned ex-husband Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) at the bar.
