The Y&R recap for Friday, November 11, 2022, brings some incredibly shocking news, relieving news, a big reminder, and so much more. You won’t want to miss a bit of this episode.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) finally told Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) what was going on with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton) took her son to task for leaving Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) high and dry at the office. Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) gave Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) some shocking news after he spent time with Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang).
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) ran into Adam at Society, and they talked job possibilities for her. He remained complimentary, and she tried to stay upbeat. Talk turned personal, and Adam admitted he hadn’t heard from Chelsea. Sally suggested Adam’s ex needed time to herself, but Adam admitted that he thought Billy and Sharon were keeping something from him. However, he got a text from Billy to meet, and Sally wished Adam good luck. Adam thanked her as he left.
Sharon gave Billy an update on Chelsea over coffee on the Crimson Lights patio. Sharon relayed that Chelsea was ready to tell Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and Adam about what happened. Billy had some reservations about Adam knowing. Sharon warned that they needed to let Adam know that he should be very open with Connor.
Adam showed up with some choice words for Billy. However, Billy shut him down by telling him it was about Chelsea and not their grievance. Sharon generally explained where Chelsea was, and Adam took them to task for keeping him out of the loop because of Connor. Adam wanted to know when he could see Chelsea, and Billy admitted that Chelsea’s doctor said she was ready to tell him everything herself. Sharon reminded him that they were going to all have to work together for Chelsea.
Adam went to visit Chelsea, and she tearfully looked at him. Neither of them said any words, and Adam embraced her. Chelsea admitted she didn’t know what to say, and Adam said she didn’t have to say anything. She asked about Connor, and Adam said their son was fine. He asked Chelsea why she was there.
Chelsea used a metaphor of being in a sinking raft to explain how she got into such a bad place. She mentioned that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) dying really knocked her down. Chelsea cried about things and how she felt that she didn’t belong to anyone or anything. She said she wanted the pain to go away.
Adam thanked God that Billy was there on the roof for her. He expressed his sorrow at not realizing she was so low. Adam told Chelsea that she is all that matters, and he apologized for not telling her that enough. He also said he was glad Chelsea is still there.
Chelsea was surprised that Adam wasn’t angry, but he said he wasn’t and knew that Chelsea was a good mother. He gave Chelsea credit for what a great kid Connor is. He urged Chelsea to trust him. Chelsea was all talked out, and Adam said they could just sit there, and he promised to be there to help day or night. Chelsea declared that Adam had a lot of goodness in him, but he wasn’t so sure. Chelsea said Adam tried to hide his goodness, and she said his main job was to take care of Connor.

At Chancellor-Winters, Jill wanted to know what they were going to do with the Initial Public Offering. Lily let her know that she was on the fence and Devon was totally against it. Jill had nothing but rude things to say about her son, Billy, not being there. Lily reluctantly let Jill know that Billy was helping Chelsea through a traumatic episode.
Jill wondered how worried she needed to be about Billy and Chelsea, but Lily explained that it wasn’t anything to worry about. Jill turned the talk to taking Chancellor-Winters public. Billy walked in, apologizing for being late. Jill took her son to task for abandoning the company, and Lily left to go to a meeting.
Billy tried to apologize, but Jill wouldn’t have it. She demanded to know what was going on with her son. They recapped how Jill put him with Lily, and Billy thanked her. At long last, Jill reminded her son that Chancellor-Winters was his legacy too in addition to it being Lily and Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James). Billy said he wanted to feel passionate about what he does, and he couldn’t continue at a job that didn’t fill him up just to appease everybody.
Jill expressed her love for her son. She wondered when Billy would figure out who he was, and she wanted to know what the hell he was doing with his life. She noted that the last part of life goes at lightning speed. Jill didn’t want Billy to continue being a work in progress. She said that Billy made an impulsive decision…again…based on restlessness. Jill told Billy that he had to learn to stay engaged because excitement fades as part of life.
Jill reminded Billy of John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) always saying “sticktoitiveness.” Jill said she didn’t want Billy to see he’d wasted all this time at the end of his life. Lily walked in, and Jill left. Billy let Lily know that things with Jill went as well as they could’ve. However, Lily wanted an update on Chelsea.
He kept things vague, and Lily still wasn’t quite clear on what had happened. Billy said that Adam is involved, but he wasn’t quite sure it’d be okay, though. Lily advised her boyfriend not to get involved in Adam and Chelsea’s dysfunction. Lily wondered if Billy’s concern for Chelsea had to do with his animosity toward Adam. She thought perhaps Billy wanted to be Chelsea’s savior so he could rub it in Adam’s face, but Billy denied it.
Billy insisted he was merely the right guy at the right time. Then, Billy said he understood how Chelsea felt. Lily clarified that Billy felt that way before they got together, and she told him he could turn to her if he ever felt that way, but he pointed out that Lily couldn’t relate. He said he felt a responsibility for helping Chelsea as a member of the same club, and Lily said she understood.
Jill walked into Society, and she heard Sally on a call supposedly turning down a job offer. Jill laughingly wondered if Sally was for real or if she was performing for Jill’s benefit. Sally admitted she put on a performance because she’s not good at introductions. Jill wanted to know how Sally lasted at Newman Media for as long as she did, and she invited Sally to chat.
At Crimson Lights, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) and Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) flirted and enjoyed some time together. Noah left to go to the club, and Allie had to get started on work. When he walked out, Audra walked in, saying, “hey,” but he just looked at her and continued on his way.
Audra showed up at Glam Club and asked Noah when he would stop punishing her. He wasn’t interested in explaining himself. She noted that Noah wasn’t truly excited when he was with Allie. Noah told her to stop because he was happy now.
Audra wanted Noah to see her, and she reminded him of the passion that they shared. But, Noah told her it was a long time ago and didn’t matter. Noah insisted that what they had wasn’t worth it, but Audra countered that they mattered — because of the baby. Noah wanted to know what baby and Audra said she never meant to tell him.
She said near the end of their relationship, she had a positive pregnancy test. He wanted to know why she never told him. Audra said she didn’t want to use pregnancy as emotional blackmail. Audra revealed that she miscarried. Noah apologized, and Audra worried that she went through the hardest thing of her life over somebody she never mattered to. Noah hugged her, and Allie walked in and saw them.
